What if he tried a big slapshot and then Stefan'd it? Would that violate The Code?

Look, it would actually be amazing if players did any of those in a game. I don't care who gets mad that it breaks some code, those add fun and the NHL needs more fun.

I think there's a line you can cross where if your bit is too over the top no one can get mad.

If the clock is winning down, I kick it in for the comedy of getting it disallowed.

Philippe Boucher a couple of minutes ago: "The code? What's the *fargin'* code? I have played during 17 years in this League and I still don't know what it is. Did Pat LaFontaine explained me what was the code? Of course not. He bought me a suit instead".

Isn't that the biggest problem? It's all made up on the spot. Whatever guys are mad about in the moment becomes the code.

Conversely, sometimes having more to do can help a player get more involved versus sometimes getting lost playing wing.

If any team is dysfunctional and stupid enough to trade a guy like Jiricek, it's Columbus.

Reminds me of those NFL teams that would draft some amazing black college QB and then put them at WR to take advantage of their "athleticism."

Këkäläïnën has finally been fired.

About time, even if the damages are probably too serious.

This comes after a couple of weeks of CBJ writers pushing articles the team told them to write about how great he is.

Yeah, that's never a good sign.

Now I'm wondering how this will influence Vincent's coaching of this train wreck because the usage of guys like Fantilli and Jiricek has been atrocious so far.

I’m not sure what changes when John Davidson seems to be on board with it all.

Will always respect Këkäläïnën for going crazy all-in that one playoff.

Given the state of the team before and since, I stand by that attempt.

Is there something in those water bottles on the top of those nets? A game after we put up 9 on Nashville, the Panthers put up 9 on Vasilevsky, and the Maple Leafs have scored 7 like halfway through their game tonight. It can't be "shitty goaltending" because Soros and Vasilevsky are proven commodities (and the Ducks relief goalie, Gibson, has given up three goals on three shots as of this post). Are we "juicing" forwards now? It just seems like every time the Stars score a metric fuckton of goals, there are like 2-3 teams with 7 or 8 that night too.
