I got a ranch in downtown Dallas/I buy diamonds by the ton/Chase cuties in my Cadillac/Drill oil wells just for fun/But when it comes to boots, I need a deal/That will fit me right, toe to heel/So I get my boots at Western Warehouse.

Ok, I'll never *goddess* about the old Richardson or Valley Ranch rinks again.

Plano got a bit of a makeover recently. I think it had to do with that rink being main practice rink for the World Junior tournament during covid.

Kind of neat last night - one of the twins' friends plays for USA in international competitions. She scored the opening goal in the Women's World Hockey Championship game last night.

Hannah's family lives in the same home town as us. She played on the boys' team when they were 12 and progressed nicely in the women's game - she has been playing for Boston College and (obviously) was good enough to make the World's roster. Always nice to see a hometown kid do well!

That game last night against Canada ended up being kind of wild. USA was down 2-1 and pulled their goalie. Canada got an empty net goal to make it 3-1, but Hilary Knight scored for the US with 39 seconds to go (goal was reviewed and declared good) and then Amanda Kessel tied it up with 18 seconds left (Hannah had a hand in that goal too). Ended up going to a shootout - I think 9 rounds, which Canada ultimately won.

Yes, and I was sure it was some other Canada-USA game that canadian broadcasts love to show when there's a delay or interruption of some other sport event originally scheduled.

I lost the NHL Network when I switched to YouTube TV. I'll notice it next year when I can't watch any of the World Juniors.

It's such smart PR for these groups to let celebrities buy in at 2% or something all to be able to get tons of attention and love from the fans.

It's a good line, but you don't smoke those, so it's a little broken.

Eff it. I'll let him have it.
