No real surprise. Just like he will never, ever win a Norris as long as he's a Star.
The proper finalists absolutely should have been Pettersson, Dahlin, and Heiskanen.

Just to put things into perspective: Binnington is already older than Vasilevskiy and Gibson ...
And only played 32 games after spending the first half of the season in the AHL.

More reason to hate and light up that rat *f-bomb*.

Redonk.

If the stats weren’t enough, let me just say this. Before him, we had shitty defense. After him, we have the second best defense in the league.

Pettersson deserved to win. The fact Heiskanen was not even on 38 ballots is ridiculous.

Maybe Miro just looked good because he was surrounded by a bunch of guys like Conner Carrick all year.

I'd look like a Calder candidate if I also had Polak and Bishop making me look good.

The Pens penis who picked MARCUS Pettersson instead is the absolute worst of them:

Many people believe Heiskanen will be a Norris winner. Put that in your pipe and smoke it, Pens penis.

He’s going to spend a solid decade coming in third in the Norris race. Until he signs with Boston and then wins them back to back.

I think Heiskanen is the perfect blend of Bobby Orr and Sergei Zubov.

Experience and age will throw some Lidstrom into that mix.

He could legitimately be the greatest blue-liner of his generation if things align correctly. This is much greater than being a "top 4."

I love all the comments from the morons who have never even seen him play bashing the comparison between him and McDavid's skating. Tools, all of them.

I don't think he skates as well as McDavid. He skates better than anyone else on the Stars for sure, but he's not at McDavid level.

I think Heiskanen probably only looks that good compared to Lovejoy.

I think he skates like McDavid - fast, effortless, and he has an excellent first step and edge work. I think McDavid is a better skater, though. But Heiskanen isn't entirely out of McDavid's league.

Effortless, huh? Not the kind of guy I want. I prefer guys who look like they are working hard.

You've convinced me. We should trade him for a big, hard-working, stay-at-home defenseman who can patrol the ice and provide protection for premium players.

Yes. The only reason I think people consider him better is because he plays in the freaking northeast. I feel bad for Miro to some degree because playing for Dallas is going to make him less noticed.
