I'd say getting an award to help your cause on being a potential Hall-of-famer (e.g. Marleau)

Welp. Although not surprising, it still sucks a lot of *poo poo* because Johns is a legitimatey cool dude.

To the point of the guy he's replying to, Methot spent most of his time here on IR, so he wasn't being subjected to taxes for playing in road games.

Kinda interesting - if you are getting paid while on IR on the last year of a big contract, could you get it traded to a team in a no income tax jurisdiction?

Hmmmm ... it's not a bad idea. Maybe eventually? I'm currently backlogged:

- a C on one butt cheek and DY on the other so that when I spread it it says CODY (need to figure out what font my anus is).

- And I finally found my backpiece (or more like it found me).

I haven’t rollerbladed in forever, but skating cross country sounds like murder. I’m imagining trying to skate on those nasty chip seal highways in west Texas or New Mexico. Yuck.

What else does he have to do? Sounds like the former Stars media guy Jeff Toates is going to follow him and make a movie about it. I would imagine that just spending a long time seeing the country in this way after having something you've trained for your whole life ripped away would be pretty therapeutic.

He's gonna have to do something for money. I doubt he has too much saved up from his short career.

Good thing there's lots of off ice stuff to do in the NHL.

He should have plenty to live on for the rest of his life. Especially if he keeps living in Bumfuck, PA or wherever. Modest investing will net him lots of yearly income.

Plus I'm sure he can get a job with an NHL team at some point if he wants. He's in the club.

He made approximately $9MM in a short career. I would hope he has plenty saved. Even assuming 50% of that got eaten up by expenses, agent fees, etc., that's still a healthy amount.
