He was playing behind Toronto’s vaunted defense until now.

Re: Former Stars Thread
If you watch a clip from the game, that was a horrible look to wear playing against the Red Wings.
I got a ranch in downtown Dallas/I buy diamonds by the ton/Chase cuties in my Cadillac/Drill oil wells just for fun/But when it comes to boots, I need a deal/That will fit me right, toe to heel/So I get my boots at Western Warehouse.

The NHL moving to Dallas taught me a lot. Like how Gagner taught me French people don't pronounce their names the way they're spelled.

He sure had a distinct expression

Klingberg sure has been a defensive liability, but playing in a shitty team that has absolute no defensive structure with goddawful goaltending doesn't push the stats upwards either.

I like the extra layer of “a little less than 2 minutes” implying that they get scored on on the PK LOL. Classic Oleksiak.

Very shrewd of us to get him to the Ducks and properly tank his value.
I'll give a 7th rounder.

Re: Former Stars Thread
Klingberg is back after missing a couple of games. He scored his 8th goal of the season tonight.
Yes, that’s more than any Stars defender.

Re: Former Stars Thread
The comments are terrible. Stars fans are so terrible about romanticizing mediocre teams.

Re: Former Stars Thread
It's fine being a fan of bad players because you like them, but the crazy overhyping of bad players is annoying.
This shows up in funny ways like how the Gurianov trade has some fans talking about how the Stars can't develop young guys, but if you point to how most all of their best players are young guys, they dismiss all of those successes because the narrative was written after Honka's flameout.

Re: Former Stars Thread
The Habs sub-Reddit is very funny right now in all of their “what-if” posts around Gurianov.

If St. Louis can unlock whatever caused his one timer to disappear, it might work. Lord knows their *poo poo* roster is going to give him plenty of ice time to try.

Re: Former Stars Thread
I mean he’s capable of sniping. He just hasn’t for a long time. Could be another situation cracks the mystery.
Re: Former Stars Thread
In two games he's got a goal and 8 shots on net in 20ish minutes. So... they're definitely using him.
Re: Former Stars Thread
Well, he has to prove something and the Habs has to show that it was a good trade, so...
I heard the "on jase" segment on RDS where they were talking about Gurianov and it was quite laughable. They praised him and mentioned all his qualities, including a high hockey IQ and how he's gonna put them back on track to win the SC in the usual Habs way. Ok, he may actually improve their team and maybe he will be a good fit but obviously they only watched Stars-Habs game and are stuck with Denis's two goals against Price at AAC.

Re: Former Stars Thread
One of the problems was he couldn't be given just a huge amount of ice time here because he struggled when it came to keeping the puck in the offensive zone and physical play.
