Giving out bad contracts even after it was clear that the pandemic would *f-bomb* the cap for a few years also didn’t help.

Just remember as you watch Lindell slowly lug the puck up the ice in a confused manner, or throw it up the boards blindly in a panic - he's being paid only $1.3MM less thank Klingberg and his agreement's NTC didn't kick in until just a bit ago. Half the GMs in the league would have given the Stars a haul for him.
