Still hard for a Bourque - Stankoven - Johnston line.
Call him up.

Is he defensively strong too? I've not seen him play enough to know if he's a SC playoff style player. But why not bring him up for the last couple of games and see what he can do? But they wont do it.

Possibly because the Texas Stars are gearing up for their own playoff run? And because he would probably be playing pretty limited minutes instead of getting more experience in the AHL playoffs.
"We're hoping we can get one or two guys in each draft that can just play for us and be serviceable and good players," one NHL amateur scout who works for another team told ESPN. "They got a No. 1 defenseman who can run a power play, a starting goaltender and a top-six forward in one draft. Even if they didn't get Oettinger and just got Heiskanen and Robertson, that's still a rock-star draft. There is not a word to describe three guys of that caliber. It's scary good."

A nice article about the Stars' 2017 draft.

Wasn’t the last time we heard from him because of another big injury he suffered?

I loved the talk about him being drafted to be Miro’s partner. Miro will be pushing 30 by the time this dude becomes an every day NHLer.

That's perfect because at 30, Miro will just have turned into the new Montour.
