Haven’t been following other than what you guys post here, but isn’t this the time of the year where Hintz or someone gets injured so in a month at the trade deadline, Nill can say that the player coming back from injury is the Stars’ big trade deadline acquisition?

He'll probably just argue that picking up Bourque and/or Stankoven are our big acquisitions.

I'd be fine with that.

We don't really need any more scoring talent exactly. We need the team to actually learn how to play consistently and defend.

Yeah, I don't think the forwards need more offense, but I'd love them to add more speed to the forward group. I assume Bourque and Stankoven are fast because they're young, but I really have no idea. They aren't real people until they play in the NHL.

That's true. Also if they can keep the puck deeper for longer that would really help.

Using the team's marketing hashtag in news reporting should result in the death penalty.

I agree. On the other hand, if it helps having the most Habs fans fulminating all at the same time, I'm fine with it.

(And if Mohanan doesn't re-sign with Montréal this summer, this would be LOL)

The Stars don't need any forward help, just defense. Danny Briere in Philadelphia expressly said that this season's success doesn't deter him from his long-term plan, so that makes it sound like Sean Walker is still potentially available, especially now that they have Drysdale.

I'd be stoked for Tanev.
Bichsel also might be a big surprise when he finally gets up to the NHL level, if Nill's not doing the trade thing. He's already probably an upgrade over Hakenpaa and Hanley.

They started the season looking dangerous but have entered a steady tailspin.

I did enjoy the full circle here of Calgary paying Montreal a first round draft pick (one with two pages of conditions) to take him and then Winnipeg paying Montreal another first round pick.

I mean, the Canadiens suck and Monahan is really one of their best -- if not their best vet. They love him and let's admit he's doing great in his role to mentor the young players and the coming prospects. Most of their fans and people gravitating around the organization think that he's the centerpiece in their rebuild.

Yeah, actually they are singing the bilingual version in Montréal and also when the Habs play elsewhere in Canada. I think they have also sung the bilingual Ô Canada in the AAC.

On the other hand, they are going 100% french in QC City for QMJHL games as a way to say "*f-bomb* you Canada, by the way the anthem is originally in french".

The Oilers are now as good as the 2016-2017 Columbus Blue Jackets.

Scary.

What a *poo poo* show.

And Kevin Weeks is posting a photo of SLC with the stupid eyeball emoji. So that's the answer. The league is going to move the Coyotes to SLC.

And a bunch of former NHLers are talking about not it was deserved because it violates The Code.

These tough guys are so sensitive. Maybe if you don’t want him putting the game away like that, go win the *fargin'* game. Being mad about how he shot it is loser talk from babies.

I hate The Code *poo poo*. It always only applies one sidedly. Or is super arbitrary.

Also, isn't part of The Code not cheap shooting guys in the head?

Rielly should be suspended for the remainder of the year for the Leafs. That’s just straight-up assault.

That slap shot thing was kind of obnoxious though, although the retaliation was ridiculous.

I enjoyed the sequence. Entertaining.
