It also doesn't help that the AAC refuses to show replays of a lot of penalties. Fans in the building can't see what happened and so they think the refs are doing a bad job.
I would've thought that.
I didn't catch it in real time.
You could see Jamie Benn grit his teeth right before. Something triggered him and he had a meltdown. Just lost it. Maybe Stone made fun of his mouth breathing.
People legitimately had no idea because Benn was far away from the puck. I checked Twitter and saw a clip, and was immediately fine with everything.
I just assume whenever someone scores a goal then taunts the other team that someone on the other team said something or did something untoward, and instead of Benning out, the player scored and rubbed it in.
The first shift Dallas was pushing hard, hitting, they came out strong. But once Vegas got the puck, it was clear which team had control, so Benn was mad that Vegas was better despite a strong push on the first shift. I know that's reading a lot into a few minutes, but that's what I saw.

Seguin is a cool guy. Maybe he shoulda been captain.
Seguin is a guy who does all of the right things now. It's such a shame what the injuries have robbed from him because he's just a dude out there now.

I think that's a fair assessment. When asked during the period breaks about the Benn penalty, Carrier and Hague didn't make a big deal of it, saying that benn just wanted to give his team some energy but it had just turned bad. Moreover, Vegas' players were anticipating and expecting Benn would try to act in such way.

I was at the game and had to pull it up on Twitter as well. In real time from my seats, thought it was probably a cross check, but couldn't understand the 5 and game misconduct. Seeing the replay definitely cleared things up.

Sadly, they do show replay of penalties that are called against the opposition. It's stupid not to show replays of them all.
I also went to twitter several times just to understand what was going on.
However, despite feeling totally disappointed in the teams seemingly early sense of "give up", Benn's stupidity and the lack of understanding on some of the calls, the fans behavior was truly embarrassing. I was with a friend from high school who was visiting from Las Vegas, it was not a moment to be proud of.

Did the ticket not do low energy Jamie Benn at 8:40 this morning?
They did. Gordo did it.
Bob's fake Benn is much better because he captures the words trailing off as he runs out of breath cadence.

They showed video on ESPN of Stars fans throwing popcorn at and actually hitting both Hill and another Vegas player as they stepped onto the ice from the dressing room.

Absolutely inexcusable, this behavior is.
I agree, Yoda.
Yesterday may have been the darkest day in Stars history, unless the fans can maybe top it tomorrow?

The second one was Carrier and I'm convinced it was a deliberate anti-french Québec bashing act from Pierre-Elliott Trudeau nostalgic western Montrealers.
