I'm guessing no changes are made in the offseason because they made it to the third round.

I'd pull Wedgewood now. Might as well.

I still think there's a decent shot. If we win all out of our remaining home games and all of our remaining road games, we have a shot.

If DeBoer has any integrity he will begin the post game presser by apologizing to Vegas for Benn's cheap shot and then apologize to the fans for that embarrassing performance.

One can argue that the Benn penalty killed this team, I think the Vegas tying goal in game #2 sealed it.

Pretty sure it was more the inability to compete a tape-to-tape pass, get much in the way of high-danger chances, or enter the zone with possession that killed the team.

And the inability for the defense to play tighter on the Knights' rushes. Of course they have talented players but they are entering the Stars' D zone way too easily.

I wouldn’t have minded if they played well and just lost like Game 2. But that was a shitshow all the way around. Fans included.

Seguin apparently told that they "lost the room collectively". DeBoer seemed to be pissed in the presser and told he was not aware of that and he'll look at it. Good to gather and regroup for a big game #4.

He and Oettinger must have had early dinner reservations.

Games can easily get away from teams. First off, Benn was way out of line. The real momentum change and nail in the coffin was when the Stars just about killed Benn’s 5 and Dellandra did not score short handed, then the Knights rush up the ice and did score. Either Dellandrea’s goal goes in or Jake makes that save and it’s a different game.

Regardless, it was just one game and Vegas has been better in every one of these games. Too bad too. It’s hard to get this far.

Sorry Knives, hope it didn’t totally ruin your night.

Benn obviously set the tone but Oettinger with 3 goals on 5 shots was the real killer.

Beyond the usual postgame presser after this well-known Benn leadership blowout of "he knows he made a mistake/he feels bad/we will move on from that/he will learn from that blah blah blah". No he won't, he did it other times and will do it again. I really hope DeBoer won't let it go like that and will try to send a message between closed doors.

It also doesn't help that the AAC refuses to show replays of a lot of penalties. Fans in the building can't see what happened and so they think the refs are doing a bad job.

I would've thought that.

I didn't catch it in real time.

You could see Jamie Benn grit his teeth right before. Something triggered him and he had a meltdown. Just lost it. Maybe Stone made fun of his mouth breathing.

The *only* thing that preceded it in the play was Stone kinda getting in Jamie's way, Jamie playing try hard guy to make it look like Stone was interfering with him (he was a tiny bit, but like normal hockey interference, not a penalty) then Stone kinda fell over, and when he did Stone's stick got up near Jamie's face but didn't hit him. Then Jamie went mental.

It seemed like vigilante justice for a perceived dive or for the high stick. Either way, it was a *fargin'* brain dead play from a player that makes brain dead plays too often.

I thought maybe Stone said something, but maybe I just made that up in my head canon.
