This is gonna feel unusually optimistic for me, but anyone else think it's not quite over yet?

I think it's unlikely they come back but they're not out of it yet. If they win Game 3 then Game 4 will feel like a Game 7 of sorts.

Ok, I guess the Stars should treat every game like a Game 7 but you know what I mean. There's still a chance, there's another level the Stars can get to and from there comes confidence and the dreaded "momentum".

If the Stars had gotten completely run in both games, I'd say this is over. But they didn't. Could have won both games. Probably didn't deserve to win game 1, but it was there. Deserved to win game 2, but for about 3 minutes of play. I'm up for two home wins, then anything can happen!

I think there is a decent shot. I think we can definitely win all our home games. We just have to eek one out on the road.

A roster like this should never be out of it. You’ve got a top 10 scorer (albeit a bit snakebit), a top 3 defensemen, a top 10 goalie, and finally some kids who can contribute. If they can’t succeed, there’s only so many other things you can chalk it up to. Coaching, maybe some lack of depth and lack of speed, bad luck, or just the overall rot within the organization.

I think a lot of it is just dumb luck. Florida going 6-0 in OT or us going 0-4 is the same as winning/losing that many coin flips in a row. If Florida lets even one of those OT shots in they probably end up just a speedbump footnote to Boston's inevitable Cup run, or Toronto follows their first round win with a second round win and everyone's got Dubas' jock in their mouths after that.

And don't forget, a great team captain leading the way. ;)
