Hanley plays the most boring game possible, but it also keeps him from looking silly with bad pinches.
I got a ranch in downtown Dallas/I buy diamonds by the ton/Chase cuties in my Cadillac/Drill oil wells just for fun/But when it comes to boots, I need a deal/That will fit me right, toe to heel/So I get my boots at Western Warehouse.

I have wrap around PTSD every time I see a slo mo of Jamie's stick.

Indeed. Not spectacular but regular. He knows what he's able to do but also know what he's not able to do.

It’s not the worst thing in the world to pair a guy they want to be more active with a boring steady guy.Troy McClure wrote: ↑Tue May 09, 2023 10:34 pmHanley plays the most boring game possible, but it also keeps him from looking silly with bad pinches.

I also think the opponent matters. Seattle has enough speedy forwards where you can get burned if you get too aggressive.

This is one of the weirdest playoff series I've ever seen.
It feels like:
1) Dallas cannot reliably stop Seattle's forecheck from generating amazing chances.
2) If Dallas actually manages to stay in Seattle's zone, they will score eventually.
So I guess whoever gets the momentum to be confidently aggressive is going to win it all.

I’m really just arguing for keeping Hakanpaa / Miller out. But Hanley does seem to pair well with Harley.Troy McClure wrote: ↑Tue May 09, 2023 10:39 pmI also think the opponent matters. Seattle has enough speedy forwards where you can get burned if you get too aggressive.

I noticed that the first line finally did score, but only thanks to a guest appearance by Jamie Benn.

I do have some bad news: While the Stars are winning 5-1 in Seattle, the Texas Rangers are losing 4-0 in Seattle (bottom 8th inning as of this post). I'll give you all some time to process this.

I hold my breath when they’re out there, but they do seem fine.

Yeah, I'm perfectly fine with one Seattle team stealing the other's offense.5minmajor wrote: ↑Tue May 09, 2023 10:47 pmHopefully that’s all of Seattle’s scoring for the nightArchangel972 wrote: ↑Tue May 09, 2023 10:44 pm I do have some bad news: While the Stars are winning 5-1 in Seattle, the Texas Rangers are losing 4-0 in Seattle (bottom 8th inning as of this post). In my recollection, yes. But that will force me to watch that movie again just to be sure.Knives Out wrote: ↑Tue May 09, 2023 10:49 pm Now is it Barb Wire or Barbed Wire?

In all fairness, he wasn't that bad but it was enough to join the long list of pulled goalies in the 2023 postseason.

I don’t care for Brian Boucher as an announcer
