They have 2 goals on 13 shots.
Just sayin’.
They had 10 or 11 scoring chances though and they were very high quality.
Dallas can't really cover them when they get in and someone always manages to wind up wide open.
Back to my earlier point, whoever can manage to get the puck through the neutral zone feels like they are going to quickly score. No team really defends the other that well.

I know some of you are beaten by organs at hockey games. I love the organ but I think they should only be allowed at buildings for older franchises like the original 6 teams. Organs give off that cool old timey feel, hearing it at a Seattle game just feels plain wrong.
Harley continues to show that he will be (is?) a *fargin'* mensch.
Robo is injured. When he doesn't have the puck he's holding his left elbow. He's basically a decoy at this point. I blame the Fat Robo Avatar.
I love scoring 6 goals on an amped up road crowd. Sure Seattle had a late push but that was all garbage time. Oettinger looked great when they needed him and the score was actually close.

Didn't Seattle win the Cup in like 1917?
Oh that doesn't count, back then hockey sticks were actually crowbars and the nets were just garbage cans.

Yeah but that's when real men played the sport. I bet.

Um, I personally believe that instead of playing a game in 1917 the real men were busy being heroes fighting in World War 1. May they rest in peace.

I'd love to drop a modern middle school aged hockey team in there to watch them destroy those Stanley Cup champions.
I got a ranch in downtown Dallas/I buy diamonds by the ton/Chase cuties in my Cadillac/Drill oil wells just for fun/But when it comes to boots, I need a deal/That will fit me right, toe to heel/So I get my boots at Western Warehouse.

Not to mention Seattle's playoff motto of "Win A Kup For The Kaiser!"

So you're claiming his left elbow is injured. I need to look at this. Been extremely skeptical of claims he is hurt.

Oh, and in yet another mirror image of our last series, Kraken fans on twitter are going ballistic on the refs. That's a good sign.
I actually thought the initial Benn bump was more sketch but goalie had ample time to reset afterward. I think it was reasonable.
I thought the Lindell interference was pretty borderline. They do that exact play to us or worse about 5 times a game .
We are probably not gonna complain about calls much, though, because their pps are not good.
Interestingly we have scored a few on the power play. Didn't think we would because they shut down colorado so well in that.
Seattle went with the exact same strategy (harsh and intense forecheck, long vertical passes, playing with five guys both on offense and defense) but they were sloppy in the execution and not hard enough on battles which caused this system to be quite ineffective this time. Also, the Stars scored on ideal moments (during the short PP time following the 4-on-4, on resulting PP due to the failed challenge, just before the second intermission). The Kraken was dominant in the second half of the middle period but they never managed to translate its domination into high scoring chances. The Defense did a great job in simplifying Öttinger's job who made some key saves at the right moment. Seattle never had the opportunity to gain any momentum.
I really liked Domi. He's one of the only creative guy in this team has worked his butt off while always trying to generate offense and opportunities. And Miro is a beast: without him the outcome could have been very different.
Usually DeBoer doesn't change a successful line-up so I really hope he let Hakanpää sit and keep Hanley in. This a game proved the complete inefficiency of static heavy dudes trying to be physical and Hanley is a very good complement to Harley.
I will always say this about our first line. It was hardly dominant. But at last it was not constantly hemorrhaging chances like previous games. So an improvement.
Man, I sure wish Miro played with a bit more passion. If he could do that, he'd really elevate his game to the next level. Imagine what a force he would be if he played 31:02 in a crucial playoff game and just brought more intensity. Wow - I can barely imagine how awesome he would be!
An interesting insight brought up by the TVA folks mentioned that he was required to eat only liquid substances and that might be a challenge throughout the game in terms of energy and keeping a high pace level.
I thought Miro looked good, especially early on, but there were definitely 3-4 times he lost the puck around his skates because his mask blocked his vision. Also had issues with the water bottle.

It took me a minute to realize why the entirely out-of-character slipups.
It always seems like teams that do that to their players are doing them a disservice. I don't think they really want to go out there for those fake kudos.
