RD2 GM1 05/02 vs Kraken (8:30PM CT) - Release the Captain (America)
Pavelski is back!
Probably an 8:50 puck drop

I got a ranch in downtown Dallas/I buy diamonds by the ton/Chase cuties in my Cadillac/Drill oil wells just for fun/But when it comes to boots, I need a deal/That will fit me right, toe to heel/So I get my boots at Western Warehouse.

Maybe this makes sense. Also, Miller will probably be back and take Hanley's spot.In what was somewhat of a surprise, Pavelski did not plug right back in on the Stars’ top line with Jason Robertson and Roope Hintz. Instead, Stars head coach Pete DeBoer kept Tyler Seguin up on the top line and fit Pavelski on the right side of the second line with Max Domi and Mason Marchment.
“I thought Seggy did an unbelievable job jumping in that spot,” DeBoer said. “If we can put Pavs in a different spot, that makes us better. If that first line can continue to play the way that they did against Minnesota, I think that allows for us to be a deeper team with Pavs on one of the other lines.”
It’s really a win-win situation for DeBoer. The chemistry of the Robertson, Hintz, Pavelski line is so advanced that if the new iteration with Seguin falters at any point, DeBoer can reunite the line as abruptly as midgame and not miss a beat. That trio has shown before that it’s capable of picking things up immediately, no matter how much time they’ve been separated, usually because of injuries.

It makes sense. Seguin was really getting going, so why not try and spread the Pavelski juice onto different guys?

The second line sucked all season. Might as well see if Pavelski can get it going. And Hintz shows us he can make *poo poo* happen no matter who he plays with.

Yeah I hesitate to call that the second line since the Benn line produces more in big games. Maybe 2b .
A big problem for Colorado is there were not any points scored by its bottom 2 lines and 4 guys were involved in almost all their production. So having more depth would be huge.

Which line has too much speed and needs to be slowed down?

can't imagine how good our first line could be if this team could add a dreaded second fast guy.ScubaSteve wrote: ↑Tue May 02, 2023 1:32 pm Which line has too much speed and needs to be slowed down?

Seattle clearly had little faith in the Kraken. They booked their arena enough to the point where the NHL can't figure out when games 3 and 4 will be played.
This helps the Stars.

So yeah, ticket prices for games 3 and 4 are starting in the 350-500 range for nose bleed. With Alaska airlines offering $99 tickets to DFW (from Seattle) my assumption that traveling down there and seeing a game would be cheaper is spot on.

I picked up some game 5 tickets for way less than that.

Looks like plenty of platinum level seats available tonight for $135 or so on Seat Geek.
Probably cheaper up in the 300s, but I’d rather watch at home on my big TV than up there.

I think seats are going to be easy to get with the Stars playing most every home game of the playoffs on weeknights.

Historically a team coming off of winning a Game 7 usually wins the following game, so we’ll see what happens tonight LOL.

Seattle also scored first in every game last round. Maybe don’t let them continue.

The Stars pretty much already hung the mission accomplished/first round champions banner, yes? Right the ship after Bowness, get things back on track, FUTURE LOOKS BRIGHT.

I hope the Stars dive as well in this series as they did in the first round.

Man we've given some high quality chances and room to Seattle though.
