Oettinger starts
No idea about anyone else

TBS game. Hopefully starts on time.

Lose this one, and it's over.
I got a ranch in downtown Dallas/I buy diamonds by the ton/Chase cuties in my Cadillac/Drill oil wells just for fun/But when it comes to boots, I need a deal/That will fit me right, toe to heel/So I get my boots at Western Warehouse.

This Stars team is lacking too many things to make it much further. I thought they'd be able to handle Minn although I was worried about running into a rabid team and a hot goalie, why I thought the Stars needed to draw Seattle, poor goaltending.

I'll be surprised if they pull this series out. They'll go home down 1-3 and have to win 3 straight. Joe will give them an emotional lift at home and they'll make it 3 games to 2, but Minn will win game 6 to wrap up the series.

Stars are too young still. The Hockey Gods will not allow a core of 22-23 yo team leaders, robo, hintz, miro the zero(when it counts most?), and oetter, Johnston 14 yrs old(with the physical strength of a 14 yo)....the Hockey Gods will make them pay their dues for a few years. They don't have the dmen necessary for a long run, and their older forwards with the exception of Benn are giving them nothing offensively....it's not a pretty picture for the rest of this year....but the dues have to be paid and it'll be more obvious after this first round exit what needs there are to fill. The Avs had their first round exit where MacK got on their asses bigtime and WILLED them to get better. I would seriously consider sending Miro in a trade...it would reap TONS at this point...he's overrated and I don't think he'll get better. I know that sounds drastic, but he's not a leader, and your top dman has to be a FORCE in the room....he aint that and never will be.

Trading Miro doesn't make any sense. You aren't getting an upgrade from him in a trade.

The problem is having a d corps where Suter is #2 in ice time. Suter is playing over 24 minutes a night in this series (the long game one of course adds to the average, but he's still #2 on the whole team). This happened during the series against Calgary as well. As long as Suter is on the roster, he is going to play a dominant role because NHL coaches can't help it.

Then you have Miller and Hakanpaa who are both not very good.

They need an upgrade on D, but trading Miro would be the exact opposite of upgrading the defense.

Ok, I know it's going to sound nutty but here goes....in chinese zodiac Miro is born in the year of the Rabbit....LOL...just stay with me...and here are the characteristics of people born in the year of the rabbit...What is a rabbit personality person?
The Personality of The Rabbit

The Rabbit is considered to be calm, reserved, introspective and thoughtful. People born in this year are considered to be too sensitive for the world around them. They have a hard time thriving in competitive or aggressive settings, and get anxious when others force them to take risks.

That describes Miro's approach, his viewpoint, his tendencies..it's WHO he IS...it aint changing. I know this is really going to hit home with a bunch of hockeyheads, but there's a lot to it

That's why I say Miro isn't going to be what we thought he was going to be...the second coming of Lidstrom.

Back to civilization and just saw the Stars pooped in the fan big time. When your only scorer is Glendening, what else to expect...

I can't recall that stupid stat, but Öttinger is something like 27-1 after a loss. This series is taking a roundabout trend, I'm quite confident for tonight.

And Yeah, score the first goal, and scored it quickly to silent the X.

Hanley in for Miller.

Seguin remains on the top line.

Gustavsson starts for the Wild. Boo.

Not even afraid. The Hanley-Miller swap seems to be a change just to make a change.

Every time a Star hits Klingberg, it looks angry. I wonder if there is animosity from the Dallas side there too.

After a super slick slice through the Wild d. Benn’s pass was almost too soft, but the Wild back away from it.

Much better puck possession already.

Watching Tyler skate is so disheartening. He can have three steps on a guy and still get caught within a second.
