well that's it. on to game 4.

really really disagreeing with the strategy of ever "weathering the storm" btw. Be the storm.

This wild team has amazing lead protection and the best goalie in the nhl statistically.

We cannot continue to have 30 minute periods wherr we get no offensive chances.

The Stars can’t generate anything from a dangerous area. It’s all perimeter play and shots from the point.
I got a ranch in downtown Dallas/I buy diamonds by the ton/Chase cuties in my Cadillac/Drill oil wells just for fun/But when it comes to boots, I need a deal/That will fit me right, toe to heel/So I get my boots at Western Warehouse.

This whole embellishment narrative the wild players are trying to create is so lame.

So I missed most of the first period. But in what I've watched the Stars have had zero shots from inside the perimeter. Any good movement in the offensive zone still ends up in a shot from the boards

Especially since their captain was just penalized for doing it himself.

This is giving me flashbacks to the Tippet era. Just 100% perimeter play from our big dogs.

Pounding slap shots from the boards isn’t offense, guys.

I think Knives changing to his fat Robertson avatar has hurt his feelings.

Oettinger being mad about his *poo poo* play may work out well on Sunday. He seems to respond well to bad games.

I can't even really be mad at Oettinger. That first goal bounced off three skates and right to Zucc. The second goal had Miller completely undressed, the third was a high tip. The fourth he was beaten but there wasn't even a Dallas Star within 15 yards of Zucc at any point after skating past the red line.

Gustavsson, meanwhile, faced like three chances from the middle of the ice and let Glendenning score.

That said, it would not surprise me in the least if we put up 9 goals on Sunday. And then reverted to whatever mode this is in Game 5.

That's what usually happens to DeBoer's teams in the playoffs, very easy to defend against his system.. One of the easiest ways to clog up the center ice of ice. Hopefully he has learned from the past failures of relying on shots from the points and deflections.

Three periods of poor play. Terrible. MN won all the battles and deserved to win the game. It was like watching an entirely different team. Hopefully the other one shows up on Sunday.

Nothing surprising about this stat. The PP went cold, and the team had no ability to generate anything even strength.

I can understand Johnston wilting. He's a skinny teenager. But to see so many vets show no ability to make things happen is entirely disheartening.

Who could’ve predicted that a one line team might wilt in the playoffs. Thank goodness they have the Pavelski injury to point to as an excuse for all of Heika’s offseason articles.
