Don’t look now but Benn has 29 goals and 65 points in 68 games. That’s, uh, pretty good.

Do you think the Stars have a stand-up cutout of T-Gags in the locker room with a “*fargin'* horseshit” dialogue bubble, and every time Benn scores they pull a little piece off of it, ending up revealing T-Gags in a designer thong bikini?

^No because the cutout would take up most of the dressing room and doesn’t fit on a plane.

Even if generous with the piece sizes, Benn would still need to score about 300 goals.

Poor Murray. Every goal was from a shot either behind him or dead center in the slot. The Stars were very casual in their own end and Murray suffered for it. Like the last one where our Miller drifted away from JT Miller to give him more shooting space from right between the hash marks.

We definitely can't deal with the Nucks. Second game of a back-to-back all along with a pretty good road trip, at some point you just start flat. Nothing to say against Evil Matt Murray, he did his job. And the PP is still running.

Furry Murray had no chance on 4 of those 5 goals. Hopefully we won't face these guys in the playoffs.

EMM could have been better but he's not exactly a battle-tested NHL veteran. Most of the goals came off of really good opportunities set up by the lackadaisical play in front of him. Maybe you say a veteran could have read the plays a bit better and been better positioned, but that comes with time.

I hate the tired excuse but I think there was some merit to it for this one. Plus a depleted lineup.

Some games just suck and I think this one falls into that category. The major concerns with the Stars for a while seem to have resolved themselves (Pavelski and Marchment and power play scoring), and the Stars are determined not to sit Suter and bring Harley to address defensive issues. Also apparently Lundkkist is never playing again.

Ludkvist was going to remain scratched until the Stars lost or injuries forced DeBoer to play him. That’s the DeBoer rule. He does not make lineup changes after a win. It’s why the Stars winning the first night of a back to back guarantees the same tired 18 skaters the next night.

With the loss last night, Lundkvist can now play again.

I know this sounds like a everlasting rant but the leash length that Suter benefits is baffling. We could understand it under an old-school conservative coach like Bowness but coming from DeBoer and how he praises him makes me quite speechless. I'm putting the Devil's advocate here, trying to see what does he do well: I can see a calm Dman that never panicks, that has a good first pass and has experience, but that's seems too little. He has no speed, lose the vast majority of his battles, is a non-factor on the PP, can't read plays and he can he's always late. Yesterday, he completely lost track of his guy and reacted way too late to prevent the Canucks first goal. Either he's cheating and makes the wrong choice or he's following the play and he's late.

When Nill eagerly outbid the competition to sign Suter, he gave Suter too long of a deal and a full NMC. It can't be put in a contract, but I'm pretty sure Nill promised Suter he'd never be scratched.

I'm glad Murray played to give Oettinger a rest. If they have to sacrifice more points for more rest, I'm for it.

Every goal against wasn't Murray's fault, but he also didn't make any saves to keep them in it. The team in front of him was bad, so this becomes one of those games where you can see why he's not an NHLer while also feeling bad for what he was asked to mop up.

I don't think this is specific to hockey, but when one company decides they would rather pay someone millions NOT to work for them, you maybe don't want to pay that person market rate to come do the same thing for your company.
