03/11 @ Seattle (9PM CT) - krak tales, part 1
This should be a great game. Both the Stars and Kraken have been playing some high end hockey of late.
The crazy thing about Seattle is the PK is garbage and the PP is bad. But they're leading the league in shooting percentage and score a lot of even strength goals. No one player is having a big numbers season, but they have a bunch of guys putting up damn solid numbers.

I got a ranch in downtown Dallas/I buy diamonds by the ton/Chase cuties in my Cadillac/Drill oil wells just for fun/But when it comes to boots, I need a deal/That will fit me right, toe to heel/So I get my boots at Western Warehouse.

Oettinger starts. With back to backs Monday and Tuesday, I hope Oettinger is given the night off Monday. If Wedgewood is good to go, I'd dress Wedgewood Monday with Murray as his backup. Let Oettinger not even have to bother with warmups.
Seguin out with the leg cut. Olofsson is the added body.

What was going on with the black puck trail the broadcast had going for a bit?

Game is blacked out here. Might need to find an unethical stream.

I noticed it in highlights too and I feel like it’s only for PP’s.Troy McClure wrote: ↑Sat Mar 11, 2023 10:14 pm What was going on with the black puck trail the broadcast had going for a bit?

They must be doing some testing because it was only on for about ten seconds.Knives Out wrote: ↑Sat Mar 11, 2023 10:17 pmI noticed it in highlights too and I feel like it’s only for PP’s.Troy McClure wrote: ↑Sat Mar 11, 2023 10:14 pm What was going on with the black puck trail the broadcast had going for a bit?

^Nothing on American hockey broadcasts surprises me anymore. They could come out and say that those ten seconds were intentional and I’d be like okay.

I didn’t hate it. Certainly better than the glow puck, but not knowing it was coming gave me a moment of wondering if I was hallucinating.

I hope Tucker Carlson breaks down the first period for us.

Seattle is fast and relentless. Playing against them back to back is going to be a chore.

I didn't hate it either. Would just take some getting used to.Troy McClure wrote: ↑Sat Mar 11, 2023 10:25 pmI didn’t hate it. Certainly better than the glow puck, but not knowing it was coming gave me a moment of wondering if I was hallucinating.
It actually seems like it is less useful on a power play compared to 5v5 where the puck goes more places.

Luckily the goaltending is pretty even as Öttër has been just as bad as Grübäüër/Jönës lately.

Dallas has had some looks but they are all too quickly closed down by Seattle. A little different than Buffalo.

Yeah, such a gear shift set the Stars up to give up a couple early, but it looks like they adjusted well. It would have been easy to see them come off of that super loose Sabres game playing a bit behind the pace to start this one.The Frugal Gourmet wrote: ↑Sat Mar 11, 2023 10:34 pm Dallas has had some looks but they are all too quickly closed down by Seattle. This is Big Rig’s 500th game. Yay. Him leaving is the reason we have Sütër now :I But that’s on Nill and not him LOL.

Re: 03/11 @ Seattle (9PM CT) - krak tales, part 1
Nill fucked up by trading away Dickinson for some crappy draft pick. Maybe the Kraken still would have done the same thing, but removing Dickinson as an expansion option meant Oleksiak was the only guy worth going after.Knives Out wrote: ↑Sat Mar 11, 2023 10:53 pm This is Big Rig’s 500th game. They've been slow getting off every shot but couldn't manage to be slow enough for that one. Nice job Hintz.

Grubauer jumped way out to challenge Lindell of all people. Big mistake.

It's probably usually the right way to play behind that team. They're all energy and usually get there in time for cleanup.Troy McClure wrote: ↑Sat Mar 11, 2023 11:12 pm Grubauer jumped way out to challenge Lindell of all people. Big mistake.

Hate to admit this, but that line without Seguin isn't nearly a good. Maybe it's just the great matchup they're facing.
