03/06 vs Flames (7:30PM CT) - GRINDING POINTS

Post by Knives Out »

Beating Calgary tonight really means that we're gonna have to rely on Nashville to bump Winnipeg out of the 8th spot ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.

As funny as it would be for Winnipeg to fall out of the playoffs, it's going to be tough. Calgary is a total mess, and Nashville is trying to continue on with a stripped down roster.
I got a ranch in downtown Dallas/I buy diamonds by the ton/Chase cuties in my Cadillac/Drill oil wells just for fun/But when it comes to boots, I need a deal/That will fit me right, toe to heel/So I get my boots at Western Warehouse.

Yeah, I always thought Winnipeg was overperforming since then but having them out of the playoffs means having another one in with a high level of suckage.

It’ll be a win-win if we lose then. Hoping for a 3-2 OTL.

It's worth beating them to see if it causes Huberdeau's agent to tweet something stupid.

Doesn't help playing a team who is on a long losing streak who got embarrassed in their last game and ripped by the coach.

That’s twice now that Lucic has been a lil *poo poo* in our crease and Häkänpää just pretends like he didn’t see it, like, what’s the point of even being that size then?

That's was the Habs finally realize with Gurianov.

The good point is, the Flames won't hold that rhythm the whole game.

We are actually lucky to be down by only one in a way. They've had numbers totally uncovered coming into our zone many times.

SN showed that the Flames currently have one of the best SOG differential in their history, and they are out of the playoffs. So basically the more they shoot, the more likely they lose.

It was selfish of us to think that this team could win 4 games in a row. Go Flames!

Marchment and Huberdeau having a little laugh together at the face-off. “Remember when we were good last season?”.

Tonight's execution is godawful. The Stars just can't deal with the Flames aggressive PK.
