Some of the problem is Benn probably isn’t having a season like this again and Pavelski looks like a guy in decline. Do you hope to get the best of them?

The institutional rot is a lot to overcome. There’s a good chance the first half of this season was an injection of energy from a new coach and a GM whose back is against the wall and none of the players want to see get fired, and now they’re regressing to the same team they were last year.

Even when they were scoring like crazy earlier, most of that was coming from the top line, but I think Pavelski’s game completely dropping off has cratered so much of that line. Robertson can still make magic happen, but they’re not cycling and dominating play like they were.
