Nashville sure took a casual approach to having the extra man.
I got a ranch in downtown Dallas/I buy diamonds by the ton/Chase cuties in my Cadillac/Drill oil wells just for fun/But when it comes to boots, I need a deal/That will fit me right, toe to heel/So I get my boots at Western Warehouse.

I don’t know who this team is, but I love it.

The last time we won the first two games of the season both against the Preds, we fail to qualify for the season. Time to end the curse.

Nashville did win their first two games though, and obviously have some good players.

I'm more surprised to see the Stars consistently play hard through two games than anything.

One constructive criticism: get Peterson out there.

It's time to rotate Gurianov and Faksa out. Make them part of a scratch rotation with Peterson and Kiviranta.

Man, at least this is fun to watch again. It’s not hockey on fire like the Avalanche but they at least look like a modern-era hockey team and not like all they can think about is not making a mistake.

I’m sure there’s going to be some bad games this season but damn, at least make it fun to watch most of the time.

They really should just trade them for whatever they can get.

I'd caution reading too much into the first two games of the season, but a fast start is certainly better than a slow one.

It's fast and fun.

Hintz looks like a guy on a mission to get paid. He's been their best player. Dude's skating makes him so dangerous.

I'm not sure I will like the style as much after our 10
game losing streak. We will see.

Eh, DeBoer is a good coach. I would have preferred a less "safe" choice but he's a very good coach and I don't think his teams typically have that kind of down performance.

“I thought Miro was outstanding tonight from the back end,” Stars coach Pete DeBoer said, bringing Heiskanen up unprompted after the game. “It felt like he did what he wanted to do tonight with the puck and without it all over the ice, defensively and offensively.”
“Every time when [Miro] was on the ice tonight, he was there with the forwards,” Hintz said. “It’s good to see.”
“It’s more active, and I think we’re playing more with the puck. I really like that,” Heiskanen said.
“It’s definitely quicker,” Pavelski said. “You see guys making a few plays handling it. It’s all kind of part of the plan and we go from there and just compete.
