Maybe this means Harley will get called back up after the Waivers go through.

Razor is the guest on today's episode of the Athletic Hockey Show podcast if you want to hear him talk to a couple of national hockey writer types.

It does highlight how the logo looks better in silver than gold.

That looks like a knockoff jersey you'd buy from Walmart in 1997. So I guess they got the retro part correct.

Love it. The number trim is a bit odd due the reverse concept but overall it has a sharp look. Nice correction to the failed previous one. Will add this one in my jersey collection.

Welp. No reverse retro for me this year LOL.

We all want the star shaped jersey back. It's not that hard.

You know what's sad... the all white one they did two years ago was probably the last star shape one we'll see for a while because it probably sold so poorly.

More Bowness bashing, now from Seguin who praised Bowness when he was here.

Also, in a funny accident, I'd typed "Bowmess" above and am sad I never thought of that while he was here.

https://theathletic.com/3707804/2022/10 ... ed-article
“They weren’t really talking to me either,” Seguin said of the coaching staff. “I was just kind of down there, figuring it out. That’s when I was like, I need help. No. 1, what do you guys want from me? Do you want me in this role, do you want me back to a different role? I wasn’t first power play, I wasn’t 6-on-5, I wasn’t even PK-ing. So, it was like, what do you guys want? Let’s work on video and tell me what you guys want.”

...

“The team, as a whole, we got so hammered by that defensive mindset by the (previous coaches) that we’re still stuck in that,” Seguin said. “One thing I did talk about with Pete (DeBoer) was how much more we’ve got to get our defensemen activated, how much more we’ve just got to possess it. I watched the Stanley Cup Final, how much (Nathan) MacKinnon would go, turn it back, regroup. That’s what I told Pete. I’d like to do that. I would like to not have to dump it in all the time. He was on board with that.”

It would probably help if Seguin had some of Mackinnon’s talent, too

Seguin has actually shockingly been much more better in the first three games although that might not be saying much.

So maybe he was actually defeated a bit before. A few more games like that and I may start to drink the Seguin Kool-aid.

Seguin’s injuries were devastating. If he has anything left, it would easily take two years to get back to full strength. So now would be about the time where he rounds back into form, but I’ll have to see it to believe it. Or read about it here to believe it. Watching games is kind of a chore.

The first part of that quote is just mind-bottling to me. These guys have athletic prowess that most people can't even fathom but they kind of need a coach who tells them what to do with it.

I think what he's saying he wanted is a bigger role. He wasn't happy about being on the second line and second PP unit. He wanted more and better minutes, but he also wanted more communication about his role.

Maybe that is on Bowness for failing to be direct.

I read it more as "you don't want me in the role to which I am accustomed, which is fine I guess, but then what do you want from me?" and he never got answers.
