Re: 2022-2023 NHL Regular Season Thread
I bet it's the Flames. They're a better team than their record.

I am glad to see the Jets collapsing and Bowness being revealed for what he is again.

Just throw Bennington out of the league.
I got a ranch in downtown Dallas/I buy diamonds by the ton/Chase cuties in my Cadillac/Drill oil wells just for fun/But when it comes to boots, I need a deal/That will fit me right, toe to heel/So I get my boots at Western Warehouse.

I can't stand Binnington. He's not very good, and he's just straight-up trash.

Absolutely. I love seeing the Blues collapsing with that tool in net.

He's under contract for four more years at $6 million per season. What a blessing.

It’s going to get really funny to see reactions flip when other players stop participating in things like Military Appreciation Night or Back the Blue night.

I was always an advocate of getting rid of all theme nights of any kind and just, like, doing hockey games.

Hopefully more choose the same. These bullshit pledges of allegiance need to end.
They’re actually hoping someone refuses so they can have a story.
Omg, who doesn’t like the military? Who doesn’t like the gays?
*f-bomb* off with this nonsense.

I want to see all themes combined into one night only near Christmas.

Re: 2022-2023 NHL Regular Season Thread
Remember how close we were to getting rid of the national anthem at sporting events? It’s a shame Mark Cuban pussed out. If he had continued with no anthem for just one more week, everyone would’ve forgotten and moved on.The Frugal Gourmet wrote: ↑Sat Mar 18, 2023 6:35 pm Hopefully more choose the same. I’m glad no one thought to have national anthems for all the different players’ nationalities or some *poo poo*. That would be a nightmare.

Re: 2022-2023 NHL Regular Season Thread
No kidding. He did it right. Told no one. Months went by and no one noticed. But then when someone figured it out, it because a culture war flashpoint, and he caved. Although, he would have caved either way because it's now a Texas law that the anthem be played before sporting events.ScubaSteve wrote: ↑Sat Mar 18, 2023 6:46 pmRemember how close we were to getting rid of the national anthem at sporting events? That’s the best sv% I’ve ever seen for an NHL goalie named K. L____nen.

This is funny because the league is throwing a couple of teams under the bus.

Goaltending has been falling off a lot in March. So it's not just us.

March comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb – unless you live in the state of California, or play goaltender in the National Hockey League.
Goalies have had a rough go of it in the past few weeks – scoring rates are once again at blistering levels, and league-wide save percentages are plummeting. In the heightened scoring era we’re living in, goaltenders were barely holding onto a 90.0 per cent stop rate league wide.
