They're really showing it to Ron DeSantis by having such incredibly gay jerseys.

They just did offside review for the All Star Game and took a goal off the board. You can’t make this up. What a joke.

So I didn't watch any of the All Star weekend. Did I miss anything good?

The Islanders signed Horvat to an eight-year deal believed to be at $8 million per season. He turns 28 in April.
Here are some numbers:
1.8
1.7
2.1
2.1
2.1
2.3
2.1
2.3
3.2
Those are Horvat's points per 60 minutes played (includes PP & PK) for each season of his career. I'm sure the one number so unlike the others is certainly repeatable.

NHL GM's are genetically incapable of not signing bad deals.

Isn’t being that stupid grounds for contract termination if the injury is serious enough?

I think most contracts have a "riding scooters in February in Detroit" clause.

Fun rundown by Chris Pronger naming the guys ranked ahead of him.

Dude sits around wanting to wait until the week of the deadline to decide whether he wants to be traded and isn't happy teams are moving on to get guys who are available.

Boos transformed into cheers and applause as fans recognized a young man on the cusp of his NHL dreams. Eighteen-year-old Schenn, already broad shouldered, confident and jovial, stepped on the stage and donned a Leafs jersey and ball cap.
That’s when the weight of being a top-five pick in Toronto’s pressure cooker market first blindsided Schenn.
“I remember I had the jersey on the stage and I go off to do a (TV) interview in the back and the first thing I got asked was: ‘The Leafs haven’t won a Cup since ’67. What are you going to do to change that?’” said Schenn.
“Right away I was like, Holy, what am I in for all of a sudden? I haven’t had this jersey on for longer than five minutes. That’s when it kinda hit me that there’s pressure in the market.

It's a really easy question though.
Like, uh, "I'll play my hardest". I mean not much else he can do.

Walsh standing up for his clients is a good look when they are being screwed over by team doctors, but shitting on a team because he doesn't think the coach is doing a good job is a bad look.

Here’s a crazy story about a former NHL ref turning into raging hockey dad. It’s also a story about psychotic youth hockey culture.

That’s one thing that makes me hesitate about Connor going for a higher level. Right now, parents and everyone are pretty chill. At a higher level, I am sure it’s much more aggressive and terrible parents.
