RD1 GM6 05/13 vs Flames (8:30PM CT) - The Last Dance

Post by Math »

Three homes games, season saved.

Since 1993, the Stars are 16-15 when they face elimination (3-4 during the Benn days)

Last time, it worked:

I have Hot Wheels teed up on my speed dial to collect my $10k bounty, because I have a feeling we are about to witness an abortion.

I'll be missing what could be our last game of the season.

Going with essentially the same lineup as Wednesday

I got a ranch in downtown Dallas/I buy diamonds by the ton/Chase cuties in my Cadillac/Drill oil wells just for fun/But when it comes to boots, I need a deal/That will fit me right, toe to heel/So I get my boots at Western Warehouse.

Raffl being touted as one of the best Stars forwards who keeps getting moved up the lineup while he still only has one point in five games.... Man... this team

All-in. If the Stars don't manage to stifle the Flames and put them under a constant pressure, it's toast. But I'm more expecting them to preserve the 0-0 lead for the whole game and hope for a miracle.

Razor’s pregame was quietly cynical. “Rick is going with the same lineup while expecting different results.”

The Flames are taking it easy. They know that sooner or later, they will be ahead.

It’s a good thing he scored because I was gonna start calling him Shintz by game’s end.

Holy *poo poo*, the line change of Lindell... This is criminal. Öttinger with another miracle and Hintz scored after that. What a hold-up.

Man, Tkachuck has to be choking more with the puck in perfect scoring areas than anyone in these playoffs.

And Klingberg with another brain cramp. What a painful first period, but the table is set for a second period collapse instead of the classical third period one.

I hope Calgary stays out of the box. I'd hate for the Stars to get a couple of PPs and lode their confidence.

Quite surprising but the Flames have now a worse PP% than the Stars with their missed opportunity in the first period.

I’d be more upset about that not being 4 minutes if our PP wasn’t so putrid.

Man, Glendenning looked like he was a bit unconscious when he dropped to his knees.

Raffl landed on his back, and it looked very painful.
