I really don't see it. The Flames needed seven games because Oettinger was playing out of his mind. He's not going to have another series that good.

Yeah, I thought the same. It was fun for a minute, but it was not really a contest. I didn't for one minute think Edmonton was gonna win, even last night's game. CO was on the puck. Oilers swept their sticks at it.

Smith did keep the Oil in the game in the first, but he has been very inconsistent. I was surprised he started last night's game, but at that point, just stay the course, they knew where it was gonna end.

NY/TB has been a lot better. TB is the better "team", but NY works harder.

Nah dawg. Pretty obvious we were only one win away from the stanley cup finals.

Yeah, the 2022 Cup was stolen from us.

By bad officiating, clearly. Only reason we were outshot 682-5 in the final game.

You know. It's funny. There were big parts of that game #3 where I thought the Rangers might go up 3-0 in the series. And Tampa scored an incredible and perfectly placed goal late to pull it out.

Amazing how little moments can change everything.

TB was a little lucky to get that late goal. But they were starting to roll already and that goal for the win did change everything. Meanwhile NY is getting beat up, and tired from all the hockey they have played. Tide seems to have turned now.

Yeap, seems like the thunderstorm hasn't reach its optimum strength yet. If the Lightning get past the Rangers they will roll over the Avalanche.

Palat is amazing. The way he steps up big in playoffs over his regular season performance has to be the most impressive ever.

Well I guess I support Tampa over Colorado or New York. The latter two win and things are about to get really insufferable.

Bolts have won 11 straight series since getting swept by Columbus (Stars have won 12 total series since 1999)
Patrick Maroon is in the Finals for the 4th straight year (15 straight series wins)
Corey Perry is in the Finals for the 3rd straight year with three different teams

The Rangers are an interesting team. They certainly went farther than expected. After the series ended, plenty of media people were taking about how the Rangers have arrived as a team with a bright future. And they certainly do have an awesome goalie and a young annual Norris contender. Great pieces to build around.

But their forward group is surprisingly veteran. If you go look at the five forwards who contributed any meaningful offense, they’re all 27-30 years old, and two of them are UFAs. The guy they drafted #2 overall a few years ago was a healthy scratch last night. I’m not too high on their future.

They decided to score when we least expected it. Pretty smart tactical decision.
