With Vegas collapsing, these games don't matter as much as they did.
I got a ranch in downtown Dallas/I buy diamonds by the ton/Chase cuties in my Cadillac/Drill oil wells just for fun/But when it comes to boots, I need a deal/That will fit me right, toe to heel/So I get my boots at Western Warehouse.

They’re basically in barring a huge meltdown. If Vegas wins out, the Stars only have to go .500 the rest of the way to get in. But watching them get beheaded by the Avs should be fun.

97 is the magical number so yeah, .500 will suffice. Hence I expect a full Stars collapse tonight without any worries.

At least I don't have to root against Davey Tippet any more.

The Avs don't scare me. Our record against them these past few years is very telling in regard to bad match-up styles. This new Calgary 2.0 team is the much bigger handful.

Except Wedgewood in place of Öttinger, the same exact line-up as in Vancouver. Never change a losing recipe.

Bowness keeps his favorite line intact after getting heartburn from breaking them up for half the game against Vancouver.

Peterson back in for Kiviranta.
Lindell back in for Sekera.
Karlstrom's callup remains a mystery.

Well, projected line-ups on the NHL website are as trustable as me. I'll go with the TVA feed on this one.

LOL Mike Smith is somehow coming into this contest with two consecutive shutouts.

Bowness's favorite line is -1 because his defensive specialist center chose not to cover his guy.

Is that what the Canadian broadcast said? Because I bet you Bowness is specifically trying to get this matchup.

And the Oilers forwards are winning every battle behind the net.

Yes, and they probably only watched the Stars against Montréal this season.

Amazing how quickly Smith got over to close down the total open net Seguin thought he was shooting at.

Heck of a pass from Klingberg to set it up, too. It was millimeters away from being picked off.

All three forwards should get points. Pavelski took it to the net, and Robertson poked it over to where Hintz put it in.

That one’s on Wedgewood. A very Khudobin-like rebound.

They’re also asking too much of Wedgewood. He’s going to face 55+ shots at this pace.

That was Klinger’s 300th assist on Robo’s goal.

On the plus side, Heiskanen is doing hell of a job vs. McDavid. If the Stars want to get out of Edmonton with a moral victory, it will go through him.

(And Wedgewood playing above 1.000)
