How about hire a trio of Dave Tippett, Marc Crawford, and Glen Gulutzan, then make them draw straws to see who is head coach on any given night

And he says that having never coached a day in his life LOL.

He’s right though.

Still, *f-bomb* him.

How can he be from Quebec if he's literally named after an American city?

The trade deadline is still over a month away, but here's the first trade by a team out of the hunt selling off a vet.

I got a ranch in downtown Dallas/I buy diamonds by the ton/Chase cuties in my Cadillac/Drill oil wells just for fun/But when it comes to boots, I need a deal/That will fit me right, toe to heel/So I get my boots at Western Warehouse.

Seems odd for Montreal to load up with a "win-now" acquisition like Tyler Pitlick

Toffoli is a great pick up. Very reasonable salary for just 2 seasons more. Even for a 1st, Pitlick aside.

And Sid the Kid becomes only the 46th player in NHL history to score 500 goals. Glenn Anderson retired with 498 LOL.

Remarkable career. Undisputed best player in the league for damn near a decade. Never really cared for the guy all that much, but what a player.

Meanwhile in Montréal, it's Valentine love during practice: Romanov punched Paquette in the face.

Ok Nill - sign Martin Erat to a one day contract and trade him 1 for 1 for Forsberg.

As is often said, the worst contract decisions are the ones made on players traded for.

“I think going into this, I’m looking at it like we could make the playoffs, we could miss the playoffs,’’ Verbeek said. “At the end of the day, there’s no guarantee I can get those three free agents back. I’m going to attempt to sign them, if it doesn’t happen, I just can’t let them walk out the door free.’’

That’s as clear as it gets. Either Lindholm, Manson and Rakell are signed to extensions before the deadline or they’re getting dealt for assets.
