Klingberg is my favorite player and the guy I get excited about watching. I'm gonna struggle with excitement for next season if it's Seth Jones. No offense to Jones, but he just isn't Klingberg.

Trade Lindell for Jones.

But Seth Jones is FROM DALLAS. That's more important than being good.

FWIW, Harley’s .66 ppg in just one season in Cedar Park is a skosh better than the best AHL season of our our last sure thing, Julius Honka.

I think the Stars dodged a not very good contract here.

Nill is going to end up spending about that much to replace him in free agency.
I got a ranch in downtown Dallas/I buy diamonds by the ton/Chase cuties in my Cadillac/Drill oil wells just for fun/But when it comes to boots, I need a deal/That will fit me right, toe to heel/So I get my boots at Western Warehouse.

Hmmmm. Oleksiak at 4.6 (which isn’t good) makes me hate Lindell at 5.8 (with a NMC) even more ...

And Bob Dylan's song about Rubin "The Panther" Carter.

https://theathletic.com/2721824/2021/07/21/lebrun-with-the-expansion-draft-complete-what-moves-could-the-kraken-pull-off-now/

Now the pressure is on the Kraken to flip some players as soon as possible.

Like, within 2-3 weeks at most.

They drafted 30 players Wednesday night. They only need 23 or so come training camp in September.

Take Vince Dunn, for example, the Kraken’s pick from the Blues. You would think the Kraken would want to keep him. But I also know that some clubs who had conversations with St. Louis about Dunn before the trade freeze were thinking about reaching out to Seattle to see if the 24-year-old defenceman was available now.

These are the type of decisions the Kraken will face. Personally, I would keep Dunn if I’m Seattle. But you can’t keep 30 players.

Stars do need a defenseman.

All insider reports about the Seth Jones situation from the past few days have been about how CHI is trying to get a deal done, while Nill is being Nill ...

Gotta love it when a higher end D-man handcuffs his GM by actually naming Dallas of all teams as one of two preferred landing spots to sign with, but your GM has liked where your team is at for 8 straight years and will continue to sit on his balls.

Plus, how is any team supposed to compete with Chicago, where the trainer gives discount handjobs behind the bus?

Ryan Suter is a popular man. Possible he makes his decision by Monday. Among interested parties: Boston, Colorado, Dallas, Florida and the Islanders.
