The excuses come early this season.

I got a ranch in downtown Dallas/I buy diamonds by the ton/Chase cuties in my Cadillac/Drill oil wells just for fun/But when it comes to boots, I need a deal/That will fit me right, toe to heel/So I get my boots at Western Warehouse.

So what's the over-under on when we'll go from "bUt ThEy'Ll bE hEaLtHy" to "bUt ThEy'Re iNjUrEd"?

Game 10? 5?

I'm somewhat optimistic there to see them play a less compressed schedule. Of course, the Olympic break keeps this from being a normal schedule, and add to that the Stars might have the most Olympic participants of any NHL team.

Look, you can’t expect a 6-peat as offseason champions.

My last recollection of him is the 10 goals he allowed against Columbus and being forced to remain on the ice because Therrien didn't want to upset Price by sending him to replace Montoya. The story doesn't tell if Montoya requested an immediate trade right after that 10-0 rout.

That still makes him not the worst goalie the Stars have under contract

Tickets have been purchased for:

Dallas Stars @ Ottawa Senators (October 17th), and Texas Stars @ Laval Rockets (December 3rd)

I will be behind the player benches for both. I haven't attended a hockey game in just over two years, and it feels like I just got out of prison LOL.

I wanted to go in Ottawa as well but it's quite early in the season and I didn't know what would be the situation towards the pandemic, and now it appears I'll be stuck at home.

The Senators arena location sucks but I like the no pressure/family and friendly atmosphere there. The last Senators-Stars game, Ottawa fans came to me after the game just to tell how sorry they were for having won in OT.

I will also be attending* day 1 of the NHL Entry Draft on July 7th, 2022 in MTL.

*Dependent on the Stars having a 2022 1st round pick

I was curious about draft picks the Stars have, and I was surprised to see the Stars still have all of their picks for the next three drafts. They don't have one extra pick and are not missing any. This is very unusual for Nill who has always had picks he's traded away at some point or added.

Hey, if the season goes as some are expecting, you're likely to see two or three Stars picks on day one. The bigger question will then be who is making those picks.

I hate to say this, but Seguin is already past his prime. Still a fine top 6 player, but not the superstar we loved 6-8 years ago.

It's really too bad they wasted most of the prime years of Benn and Seguin on suckage.
