Nah, they'll go with no one. Someone hasn't proven themselves.
Well. We certainly know that no one has proven themselves.

Eichel's three most probable landing sports would be NY Rangers, Kings and Coyotes (LOL). Stars are not even listed amongst the possible teams where Eichel might be dealt. Therefore, no need to start discussions about un-retiring Modano's #9.

I would laugh so hard if he traded in what is at least decent weather in Buffalo for more losing and dysfunction in what is the Buffalo Hot Zone.

It's fun to watch all of the ways people look at McDavid's numbers and always come away shocked at how good they are.

I was listening to Puck Soup last night, and they made an interesting point regarding Buffalo / Eichel and Edmonton / McDavid. When there were rumblings that McDavid might want out of Edmonton, Edmonton went "oh *poo poo*" and made at least a more than token effort to improve the team around him. They still aren't great, and have some bad contracts on the books, but they are making an actual effort to be good. It appears Buffalo's answer to Eichel is "eh, what's another few years, and oh, bee tee dubs, lol, *f-bomb* your health, get out and there and play hockey monkey."

Morrison believes that no matter how strongly the NHL may feel about limiting injury disclosure nowadays, once their partners in the gaming industry start to become a greater revenue source, they may apply greater pressure to have the policy amended.

Of the 17 U.S. corporate marketing partners listed by the NHL, five are directly or indirectly related to sports betting: Bally, FanDuel, PointsBet, MGM Resorts and William Hill.

The NFL has a very specific injury-reporting protocol: Leading up to game day on Sunday they list active and inactive players hours before kickoff.

Morrison’s prediction?

“All these gambling sites are eventually just going to tell them ‘Those days are done, my friends.’ That’s just not going to fly in that world. I think it will evolve fairly quickly – that there’s going to be a lot more roster and injury disclosure. Now, just how specific will they have to get with the injuries? That part, I don’t know. But I would have to think that the term would have to be a lot more specific.”

Whoever came up with the terms lower body and upper body injury in recent years kicked hockey writers in the junk.

The broadcast mentioned Paul Statsny is playing his 1,001st game. Made me go to hockey reference. Statsny has played 15 seasons. Talk about a player I've watched in games for 15 seasons and barely taken notice of.

Saw the Canucks fucked up their roster by calling up a couple of kids hoping to play them on Tuesday, but because they'd exceeded call up allowances, they have to park the two kids until next week. Some real good general managing going on in Vancouver.

The Canucks are going to be terrible for the next decade.

This also would eliminate the Canucks as the landing spot for Benn's contract.

I don't know if he is a good or bad coach, but you'd think the Canucks would make a change somewhere to appease fan anger.

Also weird that ownership would permit this extension when they've also very publicly said they're about to clean house in the hockey department and put former players in charge.

He seems to have a bad habit of picking fights with his bosses.

These things suck. No matter what a team or league does, their investigations are always *poo poo* because they don't have any real power. They depend on everyone voluntarily complying with the investigation, and no one in the vicinity of guilty is going to comply.

We should take the banner down and mail it to his Minnesota address. "Thanks for the memories, but we've moved on and so should you."

Maybe add a Modano jersey with the "C" cut out for good measure.

Every player in the league should refuse to sign any contract that doesn't include a NTC allowing them to veto a trade to Arizona.
