Now we just film "that was bad" videos and write Athletic articles and post them on twitter.

I'd say that 20 years ago you still had a code of honor, things that no enforcers should ever do, and most of them all stick to that. It was a question of being respected by your peers because nothing is worse than losing that kind of respect. Now everybody is scared of Wilson because he doesn't care about any rule or anything else, he's doesn't give a *poo poo* about being respected or any of that. Everybody knows he's capable to turn into Russell Crowe in Unhinged and run away with it.
If that sixth sense gets swallowed up by physics, though — if the next Artemi Panarin doesn’t turn in the correct direction at the correct time, and the outcome is catastrophic — remember that five grand. Remember who allowed it.
In fact, nobody wants to take the risk to be the next Panarin.

There have always been dirty guys willing to hurt others. Bryan Marchment was blowing out knees in the 90s and the only thing that stopped him was he got old and retired.

Because you know whoever did it would get the book thrown at them for "retaliation."

Statements in bold font like that should be reserved only for unprompted, pandering, non sequitur political statements.

I love the myth of the enforcer.

Past 1997 or whatever "enforcers" only fought enforcers and maybe got a good hit in now and then. But never against good players because why would a coach put a terrible player out against a good one?

Also "The Code" is total horseshit. Watch any random clip from the 80s and there's cheap shots every single shift. Players had zero respect for each other back then. Zilch. None.

Right. The code and enforcers didn't stop Dale Hunter from trying to kill Pierre Turgeon back in the early 90s.

This is why I actually chuckled when he bashed his head into the penalty box during that one game. Carbonneau took the high road and called over the doctor. I just laughed. *f-bomb* him.

Who wants to bet they put out that statement without Daddy Dolan’s approval?

All of this NYR public letter talk has reminded me of this true *fargin'* classic:

Glen Sather's Letter to Gary Bettman
Glen Sather wrote:one patron was screaming at the team, in graphic language, about whether Dan Girardi and Marc Staal have a sexual relationship.

Chris Drury promoted to all kinds of *poo poo* now. Did not know his albatross contract extended into management LOL.

I guess your firing shouldn’t be a surprise when the team is cranking out a statement blasting the NHL and doesn’t even ask you to weigh in.

Now it's crystal clear that the Rangers and Capitals conspired together to build a set-up through Tom Wilson to ultimately fire those 2.

This is why Robertson can't just finish one point ahead of Kaprizov. Kaprizov is now ten goals ahead of Robertson, and many of them are pretty awesome goals.

That's exactly the kind of skill that gets you a spot on the 2016 KHL All Star team.

Not that the award voters care, but Kap's the same age Oleksiak was when we gave up on him the first time.

So we have a rookie who's actually in the top 3% of the league in offense?

That's.... a first?

He just hasn't had enough time in Bones' system yet. By this time next year, Robertson will be broken down into a 30 point grinder and will be right at home on the Faksa line.

The Bruins practice rink is pretty cool.
