He’s the guy picking up secondary assists playing with Stone and however you spell Pacioretty.

After the first and the secondary assist, we should implement the Gurianov assist: a missed shot that randomly deflects on either the goalie or a defender directly on a Stars player who could then make a real pass to the scorer.

We are now 1 point out, with 2 games in hand.

And Robo is now 2 points back of the rookie lead.

Nashville and Chicago play each other tomorrow night. Go Hawks for that one.

I'm rooting for 2-pt. games between the Hawks and the Preds.

And let's manage to lose the next game in OT just to make the race as tight as possible, to extent the Stars' current streak with at least one point to nine games, and to continue chasing the NHL record for most OT/SO losses in one season.

Jason Robertson is taking a long time to become a bust.

15. Last week, I mentioned that Jets GM Kevin Cheveldayoff tried something “big” before the trade deadline. Not sure if there were several targets, but one was definitely Dallas’s Jamie Oleksiak. They made a legit pitch, but the Stars decided to hold. It would be a surprise if Oleksiak/Dallas do not work this out, before or after the expansion draft.

I'm glad we kept Oleksiak.

There. I said it.

Same. The Pens know how to develop players so we should hold on to him as long as we can.

We should send Robertson to Pittsburgh to let him develop into a better play and win a couple Cups, then get him back in a few years.

We have the Detroit broadcast and Ken Daniels said Nill told him, that Robertson kind of reminded him of Datsyuk. And he's right.

It's nice to have a different broadcast. I know some here don't like the Detroit duo, but they are one of the best, imo. Ken Daniels is a wealth of information and Micky Redmond is a hoot. When Oettinger came out and tripped up Helm, they showed all kinds of goalie collisions. And they were very complimentary of the Stars and how hard of a schedule they are dealing with recently.

I mean really? I haven't seen that level of skill from him yet but that'd be a... uh.... pretty awesome.

Uh, Datsyuk won the Cup as a rookie and was a standout player on a loaded team with like 8 hall of famers. Robertson looks good and all, but let’s slow down a little bit.

Imagine an alternate universe where Robertson was actually put on the everyday roster during the bubble and had similar production. Would we be talking about a Cup?

Blackhawks were down 4-1 to the Predators but came back to win it 5-4 in OT.

And Kaprizov got his 19th goal of the season.

Maybe it pays to go after guys who are very smart about the game and just help with them things like skating issues or bulking up.

But the guys who have a good "hockey IQ" or whatever you want to call it seem to put themselves into position more often than not to capitalize on luck. It's like chess masters who can see 10 moves ahead, or like Kevyn Adams trying to GM against Stevie Y.

10 games remain in the season, 8 of them are on the road LOL.
