No surprise. Whenever he does manage to get into the lineup, he has been noticeably the worst player on the ice on an already weak roster.

Yeah, he probably needs to spend next season in the AHL as well. The speed of the game was always well ahead of him.

He had a decent first few games, but then got worse and worse. Not sure whether he was riding high on emotion/adrenaline or if other NHLers were still getting up to speed so he was able to compete.

I think probably the latter. It's a weird year and I'm sure it took NHL'ers a few games to get their sea legs under them.

We remain 2 points out, with 2 games in hand.

And Robo is now 1 point back of the rookie lead with three less games played.

Our 7 remaining games are all on the road. Nashville does not play again until we face them on Saturday (they'll be well rested and at home LOL), so our game in Tampa (LOL) on Thursday will burn off one of our games in hand ...

Our best hope is Tampa and Florida start sitting good players to rest and coast into the playoffs making those more winnable games. Or what’ll really happen is Kucherov gets activated and lights the Stars up.

Although Kucherov is healthy enough to play now, they can't activate him until the playoffs start. That is how they've been circumventing the cap this season ...

I thought them parking Stamkos with a fake injury opened things up to let Kucherov get a few games in.

Sadly, I think those three really good teams will all be jockeying for that top seed (and the 4th seed patsy that comes with it). No way you'd want to start the playoffs playing Tampa/Carolina instead of Stars/Preds.

Nope because Kucherov's salary is higher than Stamkos' LOL. He'll return for the playoffs and only then.

The Lightning can lose the ability to dress Kucherov in the playoffs if they keep him out for cap circumvention when he’s otherwise healthy. He’s probably borderline, but I doubt he’s 100%.

My 2¢: A regulation win vs. Nashville >> Playoffs. Otherwise, holidays.

Just took a look at the Wild's schedule and 5 of their 9 remaining games are against the Blues ... which means Old Man Binnington is almost certainly going to help Old Man Kirill *f-bomb* US AGAIN in the Calder race.

Yin - The Stars collecting a bunch of loser points is what gives them hope of making the playoffs.
Yang - The Stars failing to win games in regulation is what could cost them a playoff spot.

Even if they get in, they're going to get obliterated in the first round.

Comical for sure. Maybe if they're blown out enough some real changes will occur. Or maybe I'm just deluded lol.

In a speed drill from the other day, Kiviranta is faster than Seguin.

You're gonna need to adjust your expectations for Seguin's mobility. If he comes back and is faster than present-day Jagr or Spezza, then you've probably gotta count that as a win.

I saw that the other morning also. *fargin'* EPL level dive right there.

Eh, you can lose an edge or get knocked over pretty easily when you are going that hard and not expecting contact. Maybe not necessarily a dive, but definitely not a penalty either.

What makes that garbage take even worse is that Ken Campbell is a senior writer for The Hockey News.

Yeah, he fell. It happens. But it wasn’t a *fargin'* cross check.
