2022 NHL Playoff Thread
Re: 2022 NHL Playoff Thread
And Darcy Kuemper in one win away of lifting the Cup, an oddity that hasn't been seen since Niemi.

Re: 2022 NHL Playoff Thread
The NHL is always super generous with line changes. The moment a player straightens up and holds his stick vertical in one hand, he's invisible to linesmen.
If there hadn't been a goal here, no one would have cared about this line change or yelled about too many men.

I got a ranch in downtown Dallas/I buy diamonds by the ton/Chase cuties in my Cadillac/Drill oil wells just for fun/But when it comes to boots, I need a deal/That will fit me right, toe to heel/So I get my boots at Western Warehouse.

Meh. This just makes it even funnier for when the Lightning win three in a row now LOL.

I know. This is one where it absolutely is too many men by the rule book, but linesmen don't call it that way. They care if six guys are active in play, but if a guy is going to the bench, they ignore him unless the puck hits him.
They give so much leeway to line changes. It's why no Tampa player or coach was complaining about too many men after the goal. For everyone involved, this was a routine NHL line change.

I understand all that, and that it is absolutely the refs call. If no goal was scored, no prob. But a Stanley Cup final OT goal makes it’s a tough pill. Pretty sure Cooper complained, but that the way hockey go!

Do you think they’ve already engraved Val’s name on the Conn Smythe to save some time?

Is Makar the first Hobey Baker winner that has turned out to be a good player?

I definitely do remember Paul Kariya and Chris Drury from the 90s, though.

Also I just remembered Gaudreau. But obviously also not half the man that Hrkac was.
