Monty should have called a time out and kept the top line out there.

Klingberg has been bad for the whole series. What's up with that guy?

Between Seguin and Heiskanen, they finished the game with six shots from out on the wall against Rinne’s short side as he hugged his post. Those aren’t scoring chances.

Having not watched much of the playoffs intently in the last few years, it's kind of a shame to see what it's become yet again w/ being able to drag on to and hold players away from the play. So much skill being suffocated on both sides.

Seguin should know better, Heiskanen will know better once he sees the tape. Guys were open on the back too.

Overall, tho, those last 30 minutes were pretty bad-ass. I think Polak played like one or two shifts in the third period, which really let us dominate in the o-zone.

Every distance shot was blocked by a Predator in the shooting lane all game, though, including the end. They deserved to win.

Although Nashville got to trap through most of it thanks to being spotted free leads and apparently interference is no longer a thing, the Stars still only produced a whopping 2 goals. Not good enough.

Makes me wonder if Monty will turn to some of the AHLers out of desperation considering they got next to nothing from Cogliano, Nichushkin, and others. The bottom half of the roster is generating no scoring chances and obviously no goals — exactly like the regular season.

Right. Spending the entire 5 on 3 trying to set up some Seguin to Radulov alley oop was embarrassing.

Specially, yes, but generally too. Aren’t we at about 8% for the series? That’s embarrassing. Nelson is supposed to be some sort of power play genius with all these creative solutions, but man he sucks at this level.

Whatever, that loss is completely on Bishop.

I'd say 50/50. He only gave up three goals, not 7. I'd put just as much blame on the guys who couldn't score a goal with 1:30 of 5-on-3.

What a frustrating game (and series so far). The thing I am most disappointed with is this series could be 3-0 Stars. While it could also be 0-3, this team is just wasting opportunities. While Bishop obviously had his worst game in forever, it was still a winnable game if the damn powerplay could get out of its funk. Since playoff appearances for this team have been so few and far between of late, I just hate that to see it got to waste.

I’d say 40% of the blame goes to Bishop, 30% to our faltering power play, and 30% to the growing realization of the futility of existence as the approach of eternal night casts its shadow across the land.

There was a funny moment at the end of warmups that I don't know made the broadcast. Subban and Seguin were the last players coming off the ice. Subban is almost to the door to go off and shoots a puck towards the Stars goal. Seguin hustles over to block the shot with his stick, earning a huge cheer from the crowd. Not quite rock, paper, scissors, but still pretty funny.

NBC sports showed it a little later, maybe during one of the intermissions. They said that Seguin likes to be the last player off the ice and Subban was messing with him by not leaving the ice.

I mean, the job of a power play is to score. It's 1 for 13 right now. Whatever Nelson is doing is bad.

Yeah. I mean, you can't expect your goaltender to bail you out every single game of his career. At some point, the forwards have to reciprocate and bail him out and they routinely fail to do this. The Stars owed Bishop a bailout last night, and they fucked him over as far as I'm concerned.

Hey, I was assured the Stars would score all of the PP goals all because of Spezza’s zone entry prowess.

Stars lost 3-2. Bishop gave up 2 softies any one of us could have stopped blindfolded. Otherwise they win.
