No Benn, no problem. We've got Erik Condra.

Jamie taking a maintenance game during a maintenance game. Nice.

We all know he's just pissed at Jim Lites and is refusing to play...

Huh? Honka still in. I thought Carrick would get the game or that they would go with seven D.

Carrick had one and a half good games. He's probably realistically somewhere between Bayreuther and Sir Heatherington on the depth chart.

He was pretty good before his injury and he’s available. When he came back, you could tell he still was not well.

Anyone is better than Honka. Gleason or Hanley would be better.

Re: GDT: 1/4/19 Stars v Crapitals ('em I rite?) 7pm
Dallas' confusing goalie situation on Friday:
Anton Khudobin was projected to start and that was Dallas' intention, but the Stars accidentally submitted a lineup with Bishop in net. The reason why that matters is because if Dallas started Khudobin despite listing Bishop as their starter, they would be subject to a two-minute penalty. To get around that, the plan was for Bishop to start the game in net with the intention of swapping him for Khudobin at the first whistle. However, at the end of all that, Khudobin started in net anyways, so perhaps they were ultimately allowed to fix their lineup card. It's a very unusual situation, but it looks like the bottom line is that Khudobin is indeed playing as intended.
That Hanzal's so hurt right now.

I don’t think either call was deserved. Radulov didn’t do much with his stick, and the d-man looked like he just fell on his own.
I got a ranch in downtown Dallas/I buy diamonds by the ton/Chase cuties in my Cadillac/Drill oil wells just for fun/But when it comes to boots, I need a deal/That will fit me right, toe to heel/So I get my boots at Western Warehouse.

Stars are barely clinging to this tie. They’re generating nothing in the offensive zone.

That would’ve been a nice time for Shore to score.

You’re now off of Razor’s Christmas card list.

Jamie honestly has been better than usual tonight. His overall impact on the game is about the same as usual, but he has had far fewer offensive zone penalties and lazy backhand pass turnovers.

Monty sure stormed off the bench looking angry after the OT winner

Our first line basically played the whole game in their own end yet wound up with 2 points.
Not like we didn't have plentiful chances to score ourselves, though. Washington was just trying to bury us and it never happened. Even their 1 goal was very lucky.

I’ve noticed he departs rapidly with little interaction. Now I’ll have to keep tabs on that going forward.
Whew. Stole that game. Thank you khudobin. I’d have been happy with just a point.

I'm amazed that of all the amazing shots he faced, the only one that went in was a no-look backhand floater from the boards.
Very Turco-esque.

He couldn't see it. Guy passed in front at the exact perfect moment. It just happened to be perfectly timed. Kinda lucky. I thought after all that I'm amazed that's what they're gonna score on.

Your instincts were correct there. Just saw his post game conference. He was PISSED.
Said no one was chirping on the bench in the absence of Benn to reinforce the game plan. Said they fell off their plan way too easy and often.
