It really is amazing how they've stayed in a playoff spot with how awful this roster is.

Sharks are dominating play so far. Stars haven't once had the puck in a dangerous scoring area.
I got a ranch in downtown Dallas/I buy diamonds by the ton/Chase cuties in my Cadillac/Drill oil wells just for fun/But when it comes to boots, I need a deal/That will fit me right, toe to heel/So I get my boots at Western Warehouse.

Only long enough to dump it in...

They keep finding new ways to disappoint on the PP.

Bishop holding down the fort in this one. He’s being besieged.

There’s our one goal. Now let’s see if we can hold on for the tie.

Benn has had like 10 giveaways so far. He's just so lazy with the puck.

Wait, Janmark knows how to score? I figured he'd forgotten.
Re: GDT: 12/7 Stars vs. Sharts, 7pm
Nice little flip pass to Janmark by Polak. He just keeps doing the right things.

Looks like the third will be drama filled.

Little tense clinging to the lead, but it worked. Monty mostly rolled 4 D as the game went on, and Lindell went over 28 minutes.

I’m still shocked when we hold on to leads like this after years of not.

Our vaunted secondary scoring strikes again. They got better period by period.

Yeah, they looked terrible the first period but did get better. I'm surprised they got the win, so good for them for getting it done

You’re not wrong, but the Khudobin signing was fantastic, although literally any goalie would have been an upgrade over Lehtonen. Even Niemi. And I hated the Polak signing at first, but that guy is fun.
That Hanzal's so hurt right now.

I like Khudobin, but I also vividly recall Niemi being awesome for three months that one year, and then just collapsing in the playoffs and every game after that.
Polak is definitely worth one million dollars. But he's also been ridick lucky, too.

Polak is certainly overperforming for a guy who was supposed to be a 7th D. Lindell and Heiskanen are being asked to be a top pair and are holding their own. Everyone else on the blue line has no business even being in the NHL, so even just treading water would be overperforming for them, but they’re doing more than that. They’re downright decent. I’m still not sure it’s sustainable, but no complaints from me about the D now that Honka is permanently scratched.

For sure, Polak has been a pleasant surprise, especially on the PK.

And yet another game the Stars pulled out two points. Mainly goaltending, but sometimes having that, holy *poo poo* we’re so screwed with this roster mentality, raises their game. The vets are playing harder and smarter and even those who have no business playing in the NHL are getting it done. Fedun? Please. But he’s been fine. I also think the coaching staff is really good, especially Bowness coaching the D and Todd Nelson could be a head coach.

Apparently he's not a PP specialist, at least with this roster. Good god the PP was awful last night.

Sure, but there's three players making 22 million who could maybe figure something out.

I wasn’t really paying attention to lines, but Spezza only had 9:56 of ice time. Is he effectively a 4th liner now?

Well, we have three 4th lines. I think plays on the second 4th line.
