So Benn decided to not skate hard back and got beat to the net and they score. Amazing effort there Captain.

Well that was pretty entertaining. I’m glad I didn’t bail after that 2nd period.

I suppose we should be grateful for the point, but man, those were some weak goals against.

Ben Bishop sucks. That's all I have to say.

If they can find a way to play like they did for the majority of the third on a regular basis, then they may be playing for a while in the postseason. That was truly top-notch hockey on their part.

Except for they won't be playing a team playing 3 games in 4 nights, second game of a back-to-back, missing some players such as Kucherov, trade acquisition McDonagh, Palat, being up by two goals so they're going to play it passive for the majority of the third period.. Those were big reasons why the Stars looked so much better in the third period. It did seem like Pateryn also played less in the third period.

I only caught the first period, but the Stars definitely looked like the better team after that first-minute goal.

This is exactly what I was thinking while watching the game. It didn't matter that the Stars looked good relative to Tampa Bay because there were like 10 good excuses for the Lightning to have slowed down a bit.

The scary thing is that this merely made the Stars look somewhat competitive in comparison to Tampa. Imagine Tampa with all of their players, well-rested, and rolling. The Stars would have been blown out again like they were against the Jets.
