Someone was traded or sent down today. My wife saw them at the airport, but she didn't know which player it was -- just that he was super young and had all of his gear with him.

Thought I'd stir up some conspiracy talk.
I got a ranch in downtown Dallas/I buy diamonds by the ton/Chase cuties in my Cadillac/Drill oil wells just for fun/But when it comes to boots, I need a deal/That will fit me right, toe to heel/So I get my boots at Western Warehouse.

I'm wondering if she didn't mistake one of the Dallas Stars Elite 18U players for a Stars player. They are traveling to Detroit today for a series of games starting tomorrow and have similar logos.

That's a far less interesting conspiracy.

A bit of fortune. But how they come out after the break, which has been flat in recent past, is up to them.

The Avs also had the week off, right? I don't want to hear excuses about rust.

So, let’s talk about Honka. Despite a string of starts he hasn’t exactly shown a lot of flash.

If my math is right he just turned 22. When Klingberg hit the NHL at 22 he’d only briefly played in the AHL and was tearing it up at over a point per game there. And in the NHL it was clear that he had something special in the scoring department.

Honka has looked good on occasion, but so far he looks more like another Lindell or Hamhuis than another Klingberg.

I've not been impressed with him yet. I'm not giving up on him, but the whispered talk a couple of years ago about how he was better than Klingberg obviously hasn't shown to be anything more than wishful thinking.

Watching Rads highlights and what I at first thought was a cheesy, Quebecois song revealed itself to be an original composition entitled "Radu-Love."

I haven’t either. Since we have Heiskanen coming, does he have a future here?

We all know where he is going to end up. We'll probably get Oleksiak back in return.

We all aw Honka take over games last season in the AHL and this preseason. And it suddenly stopped when the regular season started. That tells me it's coaching, not talent. He'll be fine.

I've thought Julius has been OK so far this season. And that's probably good to stay in the lineup, whereas pushing his talent is not only dangerous, but mostly likely gets him yanked from the lineup. So yeah, that's a bit of coaching. Given that he's only 22yo, that's fine for now.

The last game, however was Julius' worst by my eyes. He didn't end up on for any of the goals against, but he had a lot of just abouts, like he was still on vacation.

Focusing on the actual defense first, and then loosening the reigns for the creativity, has paid dividends for Klingberg. Odd as this is to say, I trust Rick Wilson on this one.

When I saw that on Twitter on Saturday it actually made me mad and I closed the app. It was weird.
Frustration over Methot never being healthy and also knowing that even this scrub was going to play over Honka at some point I guess.
That Hanzal's so hurt right now.

Klingberg is still the top-scoring defenseman in the league, by a pretty good margin. That’s really odd.

We could win the Cup and Klingberg wouldn’t make that list.
