Read an article earlier today which talked about how much weaker the Western conference was this year in comparison to the Eastern. Took a look at the standings though, and only five teams in the West had a negative goal differential while ten teams in the East were in such a position, with two of those being in playoff spots at the moment.

The easiest way to ascertain if that's true I guess is head to head records of West vs. East.

That would require slight effort on my part.

I was going to do it, but then I ended up looking at photos of Gal Gadot.

Re: 2017-2018 NHL Season Thread
Ok. Looked it up. The east does have a better record vs. the west.
Of course both conferences have a winning record against the other (NHL scoring), but the east has a stronger winning record against the west.

Every team in the Central is competitive, with the last-place Blackhawks just ten points back of the first-place Blues. All 7 Central teams also have a positive goal differential, for whatever that's worth. Even the Avs are actually pretty good this season.

I was going to look up this info, but I decided to stick to my unsubstantiated predetermined opinion and will wait for #JTONTFJTGM to post something from twitter arguing with my side.

You'll notice that Montoya played against us a little today.
That's because the Habs traded him, which means, that's right, they actually decided to roll with Niemi as their official back-up ...
Also, Chris Kreider is having a rib removed. I don't know why because I only read the headline but we all assume it's to suck his own dick.

Meh, there was no pressure on Ottawa. I was way more impressed with the Stars down 2 men in OT.

I understand why Price made the all star team, but COME ON!
John Scott was more deserving.

Didn't more people watch the Scott All-Star game than any other game for the last 20 years or something?
It's literally the only one I have watched since last decade. They are boring as *poo poo*. I'd rather see some "non-all-stars" make it sometimes. Or just scrap the game altogether.

We now have a Canadian billionaire owning a hockey team in Dallas and a Dallas billionaire owning a hockey team in North Carolina. Who would have thought it.

Jack Johnson is asking the Blue Jackets to trade him. I guess Tortorella is already wearing on him.

Shawn Thornton's review of Corsi is wonderful.

Weird how he specifically mentions all the guys that had shitty possession stats as guys who didn't care about puck possession.

Yeah. To me, it just looks like Cogliano is jockeying for position there and his shoulder pad happened to pop the other guy in the mouth. I don't think he was actually targeting the head here.
