I'm surprised the NHL went with an act as current as Green Day.
I got a ranch in downtown Dallas/I buy diamonds by the ton/Chase cuties in my Cadillac/Drill oil wells just for fun/But when it comes to boots, I need a deal/That will fit me right, toe to heel/So I get my boots at Western Warehouse.

While I applaud this deal, the song in that commercial sucks.

If they were smart, they'd give Pantera ten minutes to come up with one.

Yes. It was time to move on from Def Leppard.

Seems like they should get a Swedish or Finnish metal band to do it.

Does Pantera still exist with the only good members now dead?

Pantera didn't even exist while they were still alive so, I don't think so.

The made-of-glass Malkin injured again. What a surprise.

Oh no, whatever will they do with only one Hall-of-Fame center playing instead of two?

There is little point in changing the coach now without changing the general manager.

I don't see Monty getting sacked... This is his second year in the NHL, made it to game 7 against Cup Champs last year and has no hand in getting players for him in the years preceding.
Where the team is today, is solely on Nill's shoulders.

Thirded.
Nill has built one hell of an old and slow top heavy team. If he is fired, the next GM is going to have to find a way to get out from under one or both of the Benn and Seguin deals.

Re: 2019-2020 NHL Regular Season Thread
I know it is early, but kinda weird how some teams have played 4 games a week in to the season (Carolina, Washington, Toronto, Winnipeg, Dallas, San Jose) while others (Chicago, Philly) have only played 1.

Also, I was surprised to see that the 1-4 Dallas Stars are actually nowhere near dead last in the Central.

Corey Perry was clearly the problem in Anaheim.

It’s going to be truly amazing what happens over the next few weeks when Perry, Comeau, and Polak get put back in the lineup. If you think this team is slow now...
