I have a feeling this game decides the series.
I got a ranch in downtown Dallas/I buy diamonds by the ton/Chase cuties in my Cadillac/Drill oil wells just for fun/But when it comes to boots, I need a deal/That will fit me right, toe to heel/So I get my boots at Western Warehouse.

I have a feeling that the Stars will need to score more than the Blues to win this one.

Man, game 7s can be such a coin flip. Wish the Stars would have closed it out yesterday, but it would be hard form them to play worse than they did in Game 6. Get a bounce here and there and who knows.

They played awful yesterday. Passing was *poo poo*, stickhandling was *poo poo*. Like the complete opposite of game 5.

This was definitely the worse game they have played this playoff season and, although this may be hyperbole, possibly the worst game they have played all season.

I thought they played well enough to win, outside of the first half of the first period. They definitely outplayed the Blues in the second period. Had they not whiffed on three basically empty nets, we'd be talking about the pros and cons of facing SJ vs Avs right now, instead of incompetent refs.

Maybe it was watching at the AAC versus watching on TV, but outside of a couple of intermittent missed chances, I didn't think the Stars outplayed the Blues at all yesterday. For a team that should have been playing with desperation and energy while trying to close out a team, the 2nd period was one of the more boring, low-event periods they could have played. There was rarely any consistent offensive pressure, almost no cycle game and turnovers/missed passes galore.

We must have watched completely different games. Although agreed on the missing of the breakaway chances.

Sorry to drone on, but the ice was terrible. The Blues flubbed lots too because of the ice, but the Stars' game is to transition quickly off of turn overs, but bad ice hinders that and quick play in general. It's a shame to watch that kind of hockey for either team at this point. That said, the Stars didn't play well for much of the game. It seems like all the energy to play and win and travel gets sapped and the team behind gets the energy b/c they know they are done for if they can't muster the play. It's exciting for fans that don't have a horse in the race, but we do.

The Stars had about a ten minute run of generating chances while the Blues had none, but the third was all St. Louis.

But that's not a surprise. A side effect of refs swallowing their whistles to "let them play" is the team with the lead has a much easier time holding on to their lead.

The stick checking was pretty bad in the third. I thought it was a major factor in slowing the Stars down.

So it looks like if I'm reading this correctly, Bishop is 2-0 in game 7s with one being a shutout.

He was 4 and 0 in game 6 elimination games before Sunday, I think.

That can't be true - didn't he lose in the cup finals to Chicago?

I could be wrong on the numbers, but I think it was also specific to Game 6's.

Wiki says Tampa lost in 6 to Chicago.

I'm probably mis-remembering what I heard from Shapiro then.

*poo poo* like this is why you need to close things out in 6.

If we lose to that organization, we have some serious soul searching to do. Holy *mama cuddlers*...

If it’s any consolation, entropy will ultimately render everything in the universe lifeless and inert including that video.

Well if history repeats itself and Big Ben has another shutout, maybe the Stars will win. It's going to be intense!!! Can't wait!
