This won't help the "precautionary" conspiracy talk.

I got a ranch in downtown Dallas/I buy diamonds by the ton/Chase cuties in my Cadillac/Drill oil wells just for fun/But when it comes to boots, I need a deal/That will fit me right, toe to heel/So I get my boots at Western Warehouse.

The coach all but admitted he left the game early against Philly because we were going to win and it was just precautionary.

I hate that *poo poo* though. These players need to get used to each other.

And then Zuccarello went and got an X-ray because that's a normal thing for players to do after games. Oh, and he also didn't practice today, which is also what fully healthy players do. And he won't travel with the team. He also won't play in the game.

All signs of how healthy he is.

They're not going to tell anyone *poo poo* about anything at this time of year.

I was telling someone else that they should play Val like 25 minutes these last two games with the hope he scores a goal. So then maybe getting that monkey off his back would help him go from no hope of offense to at least some rare help.

He's saving all his goals for the playoffs.

Do you think it'll be with CSKA or Lokomotiv?

Fact checking the pregame show. There were in fact 4 coaches in Dallas history to make the postseason in their first full season as coach. They left off Lindy Ruff...

I think they mean first full season of being an NHL head coach.

If you think about it, the Stars are 3/4 when it comes to having rookie head coaches make the playoffs. With that kind of track record, maybe they should fire any coach who misses the playoffs and hire a rookie to replace him the next season.

This is a pretty low key game so far.

It would be interesting to compare Montys first season with Tip's. I don't even remember who was on the team outside of the big names...

Practically the entire team was big names. Modano, Arnott, Turgeon, Young, Guerin, Dahlin, Hatcher, Matvichuk, Zubov, Sydor, Barnes, Lemieux, Turco, Lehtinen. That's almost the whole team right there.

Went and looked up their ages. Added them to your post. Of the guys you listed, Turco was the youngest.

Morrow at 24 was the only young player who played a significant role.

What a damn old team that was.

Not a lot going on for the Stars. They have had a few one and done chances. It really stands out how much they miss it when a couple of their few quality offensive forwards sit.

Maybe Monty did this to make us all appreciate how little he has had to work with for much of the season.

Okay, Seguin shooting it into Crawford when there was open net definitely means they aren't scoring tonight.
