GDT: 2/2 Stars @ Preds - Winter Classic preview

Postby Troy McClure » Sat Feb 02, 2019 2:07 pm

Same lineup as last night.
Second night of a back to back. Expect a lot of tired talk.
I got a ranch in downtown Dallas/I buy diamonds by the ton/Chase cuties in my Cadillac/Drill oil wells just for fun/But when it comes to boots, I need a deal/That will fit me right, toe to heel/So I get my boots at Western Warehouse.

Not the best road game to get your road game in order. Plus it’s Jordin Tootoo night.

Every time the camera pans by center ice quickly, I think that in-ice logo says "Hitler" with a smiley face.

Seguin breakaway- not even close.

To say it again, a little troubling how quickly the defender was able to catch up to Seguin.

This game looks like it is about to get out of hand.

After complaining this morning about the Stars never having anyone near the net, tonight i’ve seen both Seguin and Radulov plant their asses on the lip of the crease during a couple of possessions.

This run of holding teams to zero or one goal is crazy.

Probably Benn’s leadership was the difference.

Val only had three shifts in the 3rd. Any time he makes it into the lineup, he's so ineffective he more or less gets benched as the game goes on.

Beta blocker games. Dobby’s play reminds me of Tim Thomas. He’s a *fargin'* cat.

They've given up more than two goals only twice in the last 11 games. Which sounds great, but the record over that stretch is only 6-5-0.

Yeah, that’s the problem when you barely score more than you give up. The margin is so thin. Nill has to make a move. Waiting for the deadline is stupid. The team needs help now.

I don’t think they need help now. It’s going to come down to deadline in a couple of weeks, if they’re in a good spot.

Agree, but who would help? I’d love to see Stone or Duchene or Dzingel, but Ottawa isn’t ready to make a move until they know more about who is willing to re-sign.

Panerin would be great, but he’s never coming here.

With the leadership issues we've had, I don't really want Duchene.
