Carrick in for Honka
Dickinson in for Nyetchushkin
Ritchie in for Condra

[insert any of the last 20 jokes made when Val was scratched/hurt]

Yeah, upper body, his head! Taking Condra out for Ritchie is just counterproductive.

I'm sure this injury has been what has prevented him from lifting a wrist shot off the surface of the ice.

What you need to understand about Nyet is that he’s a patient goal scorer. He’s just waiting to pick the right spot.

If Campbell gets a shutout he’ll be the hero with a thousand save percentage.

Look, I love what you do here, but if you have to preemptively explain your joke, perhaps you should rethink it before you hit Submit.

I'm a bit upset about Honka coming out. It's bad timing. He's due for his monthly assist any game now.

The pre-game light show with the phone app is the most epic fail thing of this *poo poo* season. This place is pretty empty tonight

Why has Seguin been demoted to the third 4th line with Benn and Ritchie?

The entire offense has devolved into throwing the puck into the crease hoping to get a bounce.

Entering the second period, I get the impression Razor spent the intermission cutting himself and crying. Dude sounds beaten down.

Can someone who watches other teams tell me if that’s how the whole league is now? Or is it just us? I don’t really follow hockey that much, but I get the distinct impression that the league has devolved into doing whatever the analytics say has the highest success rate (i.e. dump and chase, fling it at the net and hope for a rebound, etc), and there’s very little creativity or finesse left in the game. Makes teams and games more competitive, but less fun to watch.

This game looks over.

Some of this comes down to the law of averages. They probably picked up more points than they deserved back in November and December when they weren’t scoring. Now, they still aren’t scoring, but they aren’t squeaking out points or wins.

It’s ugly. It’s boring. It’s not competitive.

This team is a *fargin'* *poo poo* bad joke. They literally remind me deer playing hockey.

Should've known they'd play like *poo poo* after playing well against Tampa. The Stars have no identity so they match themselves to whatever team they play, except when it comes to scoring goals.

Lamoriello and Trotz sure installed an identity into the islanders. This team has been a laughing stock since Gainey.

Sometimes it would be nice if Miro could get it on net. I'm pretty sure he's missed the net a ton these past few games.

Razor called Benn making a small deke and getting a shot off "Vintage Benn". That's sad.

I still contend that this system sucks. It doesn't seem to be designed to score goals at all.

I guess so. But three systems in three years has resulted in shitty offense. So is it the system?
