Once again, Honka is scratched in favor of Lindell, a rookie, and four guys you’ve never heard of.

Val is scratched in favor of Gemel Smith, but don’t worry because Val has great non-elevated shots/60 stats.

Nichushkin should never play another game as a Dallas Star again. Ever.

So you’re saying he’s better than about half of them.

Razor forgot to also mention this is a battle of the 2013 draft. On one team, you have #9 overall pick Bo Horvat with 11 goals on the season. Then there’s the #10 pick watching the game from upstairs. He has as many goals as everyone posting in this thread.

It seems this team is Jynxed, they make mediocre goalies look great. They hit pipes, and miss wide open nets.

I remember Nichushkin was expected to get picked around #5, and we were so excited that somehow he slipped all the way to 10th. But I guess it was clear to every other team’s scouts that his only skill was breakaway speed. Every so often we’d see some of that speed during his rookie year, but we’ve rarely seen it this year. Mostly what I notice this year is his inability to hold on to the puck.

The ref's thicc thighs saved Janmark's head on that boarding call.

Well it's not from lack of trying (except for on the abysmal PP), but we are getting owned by a back-up again. I'm entertained, but this has "dat the way hockey go sometimes" written all over it. Huge save by Nilsson, goal the other way.

We should be happy just to make it to extra time, get the point on the road, and then lose there. I'm still ready to explode for our lone goal in the third though.

When Razor said it, I had to confirm it, I mean we all knew it was bad, but, scoring 1 or 0 goals in 7 of the last 13 games? And having none tonight heading into the third? That stat has finally been fully absorbed to the point of despondency. This definitely isn't just a normal Stars funk anymore.

I personally want to hold the lighter under Nill's asshole now.

Apparently Klingberg was the key to all offense on the team. Not the two forwards making $8 million a season though. Never their fault.

The Stars are marching their way down the GF list. While getting Klingberg back will help, there isn’t much offense sitting out on IR or up in the press box. Hanzal will add a bit of offense over whoever is scratched to make room for him, but it won’t be a big boost. There’s just too many forwards on this team who don’t generate offense. Nill needs to do something.

Goalpost karma in that final minute.

And we've seen that type of play get called an automatic goal instead of a penalty so many times before, not sure why it wasn't this time, but it was pretty funny to see Tyler lobbying so passionately for the freebie, considering how snakebit he's been LOL.

Decent road trip. 5 of 8 points and they were close to winning every game. I’ll take it considering the injuries.

Their goals against during this stretch is amazing. They shouldn't be holding teams to nothing like this.
