This team is going nowhere this year. I'm *fargin'* tired of that.

Maybe for once they'll suck enough to get more help for Heiskanen in the future.
Then again the boat anchor will start scoring after the team's playoff chances are over.

Didn't Stars management finally single Benn out as needing to give them more this summer? I forget where I saw that.

There's a certain someone weaved into this narrative here that seems to be relative to Hitch's playoff success with the Blues against the Stars that year and Hitch's current struggles to make the playoffs at the end of this year. Can anyone guess who it is?

I'll go with Captain Fantastic, who scored one goal and was -3 in that seven-game playoff series.

Well. There ya go.

At least Morrow had more of an excuse for his era sucking ass. He was surrounded by panzy-ass whiny cry babies for most of his tenure (Turco, Modano, Ott, Ribeiro and the like) and the team was bankrupt for half of it.

Morrow had zero excuse for sucking ass, other than maybe his body was beat to *poo poo* and he couldn't skate forward anymore.

He also wasn't one-tenth the player Benn is.

I agree, he was more like eight tenths.

That's not what I was talking about. I was talking about the team's performance during his era as captain. There was more of an excuse because of the mostly shitty personnel like Adam Burish being a top line winger. At least after the first couple of years of his captaincy.

Yeah, towards the end when the team was in backruptcy, his teammates sucked. But early on he had Brad Richards, Ribeiro, Zubov, etc etc, all those guys. I think he might even had had Benn on his line at one point.

I consider the Richards, Ribeiro era to be not really Morrow's fault either. Richards was fine. But, the majority of the players in that era were whiny, entitled brats who bitched and moaned about every stupid thing that didn't go their way. I suppose you can argue that Morrow should have squelched that mentality with his leadership. But, I don't remember Morrow whining and bitching like the rest of the team so I think so many players were like that that it would have been impossible to change them all. *f-bomb* those guys. This includes you MIke Modano.
