11/01 @ Toronto - GIT OUT EH

Postby Knives Out » Thu Nov 01, 2018 12:08 pm

Expected lines for tonight:

Shore-Seguin-Janmark
Benn-Spezza-Nichushkin
Pitlick-Faksa-Comeau
Smith-Dickinson-Ritchie

Lindell-Klingberg
Methot-Heiskanen
Honka-Polak

Khudobin

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Radulov and Matthews OUT.

The Leaves scoring seems to have dried up even before AM got hurt, so now would be the perfect time for payback, but not when we're icing that turd of a projected line-up LOL.
That Hanzal's so hurt right now.

Also, I "forgot" to buy my single ticket ranging from '$84.50 to $385.75 before taxes' for tonight. My bad.

Man those bottom 2 lines are just stacked with spares. 14 points in a combined 54 man games played.

I’m confident Fabian Dickinson will eventually score another goal.

You think that's bad? That adds up to 0.259 points per game.

The right wings on the top two lines have combined for two points on the season.

Two points.

Not two each.

Hell, even two points each would be bad.

One point each.

Meaning two points total.

Two points in 17 games played.

0.118 points per game from Janmark and Nichushkin.

They are scoring at a rate of less than half the guys sparing up the 3rd and 4th lines.

And somehow the team is still over 500.

Not for long. This road trip will normalize the record.

Sadly, being just over .500 still means you're out of a wild card spot.

Not a whole lot going on in this game. Neither team has any offensive mojo right now.

Benn and Seguin get a point. In the same game.

Good road game so far. The Stars are pressuring them in all three zones.

Taking dumb penalties in the offensive zone is no way to stay in the lineup, Ritchie.

Yeah, I’m not a fan of trying to milk this lead for ten minutes. Gotta keep up the pressure and need to stay out of the box.

When was the last time we desperately tried to hold a lead and succeeded for this long? Kari usually blew a lead within two minutes

Great saves by Khudobin late in the game.

Kind of ugly way to cling to victory, but it is a win.

Ugly wins on the road is part of what's been missing. 4 points out of 6 so far is good.

That just makes up for the ridiculous loss in Detroit. Still on schedule for a 3-3 or 2-4 road trip. Unless Devin Shore continues to carry this team on his back.

Ritchie with three penalties. He has to be scratched next game, right?

Things got pretty exciting at the end there. I believe that was Marleau's 4,000th goal against the Stars.

Ritchie should be scratched forever. Even before his three penalties he took a penalty that wasn’t even called.

Great game for Khudobin. Good and lucky.

When was the last time we got a good game from a backup goalie? It must have been Mike Smith. Other than Lehtonen's few goods games as backup, anyway.

Niemi had a good run of 10-15 or so games that one time.

After that, tho... not so much.
