10/30 @ Montréal - TABARNAC

Postby Knives Out » Mon Oct 29, 2018 2:50 pm

We're doing it again.

We are losing to teams on the road that should be the easier points.

Lose this one, and be prepared to just miss the playoffs again by the usual handful of points.

I'll also be done going out of my way to watch the games LOL.

And I don't want to hear about the Habs' current inflated record. They are not a good team. Every year they start hot and then basically create NHL history with their collapses.

Going with Terry Farrel for the avatar. This changing it after each loss may get old.

Radulov back in.
Benn and Seguin split up.
Ritchie and Pitlick scratched.
Johns still out.
Carrick out with a foot injury after blocking a shot.
Bishop starts.
Optimism near zero.

Carrick is out because Spezza hurt his feelings.

Radulov is no stranger to stupid penalties, but that was a bad call.

Not impressed with the effort. The Stars don't look much better than they did against Detroit.

Even Hitchball had at least one line that could generate offense.

18 minutes in and not one scoring chance generated. Monty out Benn-Seguin-Radulov back together.

I don’t think Monty will be the coach next year at this rate.

5 shots for halfway through the game... and as I say that they add 2 more including another goal. Go figure.

A couple of goals seems to have sparked some confidence. Playing good hockey now.

Great shot by Heiskanen, by the way.

I missed the first period, I thought I recorded the game but didn’t. Guess that was a good thing. Saw we were outshot 11-2. Nice to get two PP goals, feels like Bishop is better tonight too, still a whole period to go, so.

They're playing "Werewolves of London" in Montreal on the night before Halloween.

OK.

That puck was going in whether Bishop was pushed or not.

I have never seen a player step on their own stick like Jordie Benn just did.

That hasn't really been the case tonight.

Also, the top PP unit looks like *poo poo* now.

1 as in only 1 forward is providing secondary scoring.

Still getting essentially nothing from Nichushkin, Dowling, Ritchie, Janmark, Pitlick, Comeau, or Faksa.

I’m okay with Faksa not scoring much. He provides other, tangible benefits with his presence. A few goals would be nice, but he’s legitimately good at preventing goals.

Jamie’s first point in 8 games is a leech assist on an empty net goal.

Radulov passing off the idiot Hans fans who don’t understand free agency was great.

Isn’t there a great video somewhere of Spezza stepping on a stick and breaking it to destroy the evidence when he got called for an illegal stick measurement? Someone should go find that in honor of his 1000th game.
